Even after several years, Piper has (understandably) no intention of forgiving Rose, is she?
Hi!
Sorry for the super long delay in responding!
Simply put, no.
She has no intention of ever forgiving Rose. Things are not as icy as they were between them, but Piper still treats Rose with a certain degree of coolness and mistrust. Which... was and still can be a strain on Hunter and the relationships he has with his sister and with Piper. There have been some talks between Hunter and Piper. Some ‘real talk’ talks, issues they’ve worked through; but it can still be troubling.
Piper will not, under any circumstances, be alone with Rose if it can be helped. And if she has to be, she won’t let her guard down. Rose put her through hell, and while Piper understands that she was lashing out and a lot of Rose’s issues stem from her upbringing and her dependence on Hunter, its no excuse.
So yeah, no. She’s not really going to forgive her for kidnapping her and threatening to kill her. :B
Number 12 and the one I really want some feedback on. :/
Writing make out scenes, or hot-heavy scenes have NEVER EVER been my forte. I try and practice and get better at them, but its always been a difficult area for me, so I post hoping for feedback, and get none. Sad times.
Anyway.
Hunter and Piper making out. <3
His mouth swallowed the groan that escaped involuntarily from her mouth. He smirked against her lips, pushing his hand through her hair and tugging back a little, forcing the blonde to tilt her head back further and allow him to take further advantage of her state.
Piper's hands and fingers moved against his t-shirt, spread against the wide expanse of his back. All she could do from her position beneath him was that, shift her hands across him, and slightly move her torso and legs.
They were intertwined, their legs knit together, arms the same, causing difficulty if either of them tried to move.
Somewhere in the back of his mind, Hunter remembered they had something to do, something that they had been doing before they found themselves interlocked; yet for the life of him, he couldn't recall exactly what it had been.
It could not have been especially important.
Piper's neatly made bed had become swiftly unmade as soon as the two of them had hit it. The door was closed and locked, preventing Digimon and her brother from making uninvited entrances. They always locked the doors now. It was more of a safety precaution that anything else, and something they did out of habit.
"Too... hot..." Piper's voice was a rasping sound, made in between heated kisses. Hunter could feel her tugging at his shirt, pushing the fabric up his back and chest so it was practically bunched beneath his armpits.
Hunter laughed a little, bending his head to place his mouth beside Piper's ear. "Don't be so grabby." He ordered, his voice hoarse. Piper's whole body seemed to tremble beneath him as he bit, hard, on the cuff of her ear.
"You're one to talk." Piper retorted, raising an eyebrow, and averting her gaze as Hunter lifted his head away, supporting himself on his forearms.
He enjoyed looking at her, seeing her like this.
With pink cheeks, and red, moist lips, kiss swollen and slightly bruised. Her hair mussed, untidy and splayed around her face and neck. It was times like this where he noticed things about Piper he sometimes forgot, like how her skin flushed in certain places when she was too hot. How she had a light smattering of freckles across her nose and forehead which only ever appeared when she tanned. That when she was shadowed, like she was now, that her eyes seemed to turn a deep, stormy blue. A vast comparison to their usual brightness.
"What?" She asked, tilting her head to one side on the pillow. She drew her fingers in shapes across the bare flesh of his back, causing his muscles to twitch and gooseflesh to rise as she tickled him.
"Just looking at you." Hunter admitted, smiling. He let out a short breath of laughter. "Sometimes I forget how sexy you can be."
As he expected, Piper rolled her eyes. "Shut up." Without warning, she had fisted the front of his shirt, and had pulled him towards her. Her lips on his, demanding and insistent.
Hunter's stomach squirmed pleasurably to her ministrations, and he replied with gusto, dragging his hands down the length of her torso to dig into the flesh of her side and thigh. Grazing his lips and teeth against her cheek and chin until he reached her neck where he could bite a touch harder, and hear the delicious hisses of pain and enjoyment all mixed into one.
Her finger nails scratched against his back, grazing the flesh and pulling the fabric of his shirt further. He felt her hands, as if they were everywhere, up in his hair, drawing his head back towards her. Piper claiming his mouth once again. Her bare feet pawed at his denim three-quarter lengths. The skin of her legs rubbed against that of his body, unabated by clothing due to the shorts she had chosen to wear.
He pulled away from a moment and slipped the clothing off over his head, discarding it to the floor blindly.
Piper was up on her knees in what might have been a moment, her weight against him and arms around his shoulders keeping their bodies close together.
She took his lower lip into her mouth and bit down lightly with her teeth. Hunter grinned to himself as he adjusted his body to be more comfortable. When they had first started seeing one another, Piper had been shy, demure and retiring, even in private. Actions such as biting his lip or being so bold as the kiss him first were unheard of...
Yet now... it was as if she was a totally different person sometimes.
Piper's fingers traced across Hunter's chest, making his muscles twitch and ripple beneath her nails. She drew shapes slowly, dragging her fingers with enough pressure to make it feel amazing, and send trembles across Hunter's whole body.
"Pipes..." Hunter swallowed air, his head falling back. Piper sucked on the racing pulse point in his neck, nipping at his skin with the front teeth. Hunter fisted the back of her tank top with one hand, and the messy covers with the other.
She kissed her way up the column of his neck, stopping at his ear lobe and taking that into her mouth to suckle. Hunter shuddered once more, yanking unceremoniously at Piper's shirt.
"Off." Hunter ordered, rasping. "Your shirt. Now." He didn't wait for a response. Piper moved away quickly and Hunter yanked the shirt off over her head, letting it fall to the floor.
"Don't be so grabby." Piper remarked playfully, repeating his earlier statement. "I like that shirt."
"I like it a lot more on the floor." Hunter replied, barely giving the fabric a second glance. He drank in the sight of the blonde opposite him. Her pale skin reddened in places from the heat between them and from the pressure he had applied on her soft flesh. The bra she wore was a turquoise lacy one with white accents. One of the straps had slipped from her shoulder and sat tantalising at her mid-bicep, just asking to be pulled down.
Hunter gave her no time to make a response to his comment. Using his superior height and weight, he grabbed Piper's hands and shoved her against the headboard.
Piper gave a small shout of pain, the sound of her head smacking the wood reaching Hunter's ears.
"SHIT!" Hunter released her wrists. Piper immediately rubbed the back of her head, wincing. "Sorry! Shitshitshit..."
"Its fine, its fine..." Piper murmured.
"Sorry." Apologised Hunter. "I didn't mean to..." He tilted his head to one side, giving Piper a weak smile.
"I'm fine..." Piper replied, lifting her hand away from her head. She checked her palm and then showed Hunter. "See, no blood. Just a few missing brain cells."
Hunter gave a small, forced laugh, "guess I completely ruined the mood with that stunt." He huffed.
Piper shook her head, kissed his cheek and the corner of his mouth. "Don't be silly. It's just a bump on the head..." She leaned back against the wall, turning her head coquettishly to one side and lifting her arms above her head. "How's this?"
A smile drew across Hunter's mouth as he moved smoothly towards her. "Mhm... I love you..." He breathed, easily placing his lips against hers. He grasped her hands with his own, squeezing her fingers with his. Piper's fingers curled down against the backs of his hands, she giggled softly against him.
Within moments, Hunter was on the move once more, regaining their previous passion with ease, dragging the tip of his tongue across Piper's neck, nuzzling against the cleft of her bosom and biting there, enough to leave light teeth marks.
He held Piper's hands in one of his, clutching her wrists, keeping them together. Piper breathed out harshly, her fingers wriggling in an attempt to get free, but Hunter had his grip and had no intentions of letting go.
His moved passed her breasts, stroking down her flat stomach with his free hand and following that with his mouth, leaving slow, hot kisses against her skin. He glanced up to Piper's face, saw her head dipped back a little, her mouth open slightly where her tongue licked against her lip.
His fingers ghosted against the button on her shorts, against the zipper and down, lower until Hunter's free hand was stroking against the care skin of her thigh.
Piper's legs open without any effort on Hunter's behalf, and he drew his thumb and fingers across her flesh.
He released Piper's hands and managed to shift across the covers, lightly stroking his hands along her inner thighs, tickling the sensitive areas with his own fingers. Piper slid against the wall until she was lying down flat, on her side though her hips faced up towards the ceiling.
Continuing his ministrations against her legs, Hunter nestled over Piper's belly, leaving trails of light, open-mouthed kisses against her skin. The blonde's fingers ran through his hair easily, rubbing his scalp.
He delved lower. Bypassing Piper's shorts once more, he nuzzled the skin of her thigh, tightening his hold a little on her leg. It quivered in his grip. Hunter saw the young woman looking at him, her eyes curious. He held her eyes as he bit down on his skin, biting a small piece sharply with his teeth.
The hiss that leapt from Piper's throat was a little alarming at first, until he heard the satisfied sigh come after it, and her fingers rubbing against his head. He bit again, a different area this time, and the relaxing motions on his head became more insistent.
Another bite, and Piper jerked unexpectedly.
"Piper?"
The voice through the door caught Hunter aware. His head whirled to face the door, until he remembered Piper had locked it. She was sat up straight, looking like a deer caught in headlights.
"Dad?"
Hunter's eyes widened. Neither of Piper's parents were due back for at least three weeks!
"What are you doing back?" Asked Piper. Her cheeks were bright red, though from the panic of almost getting caught or from the enjoyment of the previous seconds, it wasn't clear. She ran her hands through her hair, tidying it off her face, and gave Hunter an apologetic smile.
"One of my clients cancelled on me, changed their mind on the piece they were looking at. I had a few days so I thought I would come home!" The door handle rattled as Andrew tried it. "The door's lock, sweetie."
"Yeah... Dad." Piper bit her lip, "I... uhm..." she glanced around the room to try and think of an excuse. "I... I'm naked!"
Hunter covered his mouth to stop from laughing. Piper threw a pillow at him.
"Oh... kay." Andrew replied slowly through the door. "Have you had a shower?"
"Yes! I am naked because I just had a shower!" Piper replied, "that makes sense!"
"The bathroom is dry though." Andrew said, "did you use the bathroom in mine and your mother's room? That was dry too."
"Oh." Piper rubbed her face. "Uhm..."
"What's going on Piper?" Andrew tried the door again. "Have you brought something home from the clinic you don't want me to know about?"
Hunter laughed again.
"Dad, Hunter is in here with me." Piper told him bluntly, staring at the door.
There was silence from the other side for moments that passed with intense slowness. "Right... I see." Andrew coughed, clearly uncomfortable by the knowledge that his youngest child and only daughter was in her locked room with her boyfriend. "Okay... well. Ask if he would like to you us for dinner this evening. I'll uh... yes." He coughed once more, "right."
Hunter and Piper listened silently for a few seconds to hear Andrew's footsteps departing hurriedly down the hallway to the stairs. Once they could no longer hear him, Piper fell back onto her bed, pulling a pillow over her face and Hunter let out a bark of laughter, flopping down beside her on his front.
"Your dad..."
"Oh my GOD!" Piper groaned, muffled by the pillow. "That is so humiliating!"
"Naked? Why didn't you just say you'd woken up from a nap, or something?" Hunter teased.
Removing the pillow, Piper glared at him, "I couldn't think of anything! Not like you were any help!"
"Guilty." Hunter admitted cheerfully. He rolled onto his back, "your dad sure has the worst timing... way to spoil the mood."
Sidling across the sheets, Piper curled up against Hunter's side. "Sorry..."
"You weren't to know." Hunter replied, smiling. He kissed her hair. "How long should we wait before going down?"
"Oh, I am never leaving my room again." Piper advised him, burying her face against his skin. She groaned quietly, "Oh God, I bet he'll tell mom..."
I totally forgot to post this... and the next one. Lol. They've been done for a while. Not giving up on this challenge!
Wearing Kigus! I don't own one... I kind of want to make one with the winter in mind, but can't ever really find an idea I would be happy with.
Anyway.
This was fun to write. Rather silly, and fun. :]
"I am not wearing this." Argued Hunter, dropping the fleece outfit on the floor and kicking it with the tip of his foot. "Not now, not ever."
Piper retrieved it from the floor and shook it out.
"You have to." She told him, "it's a requirement of Eva's party. If you don't wear it, you can't go."
"Fine." Hunter threw back, "I won't go."
Piper pouted a little, and lay the costume to one side. "It's not like you'll be on your own, everyone else will be wearing one."
"Yeah. I prefer laughing at others, to being laughed at." Grumbled Hunter, "thanks."
Piper furrowed her eyebrows. He could be so stubborn at times, it became exhausting. Trying to change his mind on even a small matter could turn into some huge battle of wills. More often than she cared to admit, Piper would just let it go and allow him to have his own way. But on this she was set, he would wear the costume.
If she was wearing one, he would too. They would all suffer.
"You're wearing it."
"No." Snapped Hunter.
"It's not even that bad!" Retorted Piper, "you should see the one Reyez is wearing, it's a purple elephant. It was the only one, he said, that represented him accurately enough... whatever that means." She shrugged.
Hunter's mouth twisted in a small, wry grin. "Purple elephants are a symbol of certain drugs, I believe."
"Oh." Piper paused, "anyway, you're wearing it!"
"No I am not." Hunter pushed his hands out as Piper thrust the custom toward him.
She tried not to growl, "you could at least try it on. You might like it! Besides I spent ages looking for one for you."
"And you thought this was best?" An eyebrow on Hunter's face tilted disapprovingly as he looked beyond the fabric at the smaller blonde.
She sighed. "No, there were lots of others, and much better. But--" she continued quickly, stopping the man in his tracks as he went to speak. "-- this was the best one I could find in your size. It's not my fault you're freakishly tall."
"I'm not freakishly tall."
Bickering back and forth with Piper about a costume was not what Hunter had had in mind for this afternoon together. A movie, curling up on the sofa or having an afternoon in bed, covered in sweat had all been on the cards, but they were swiftly flying out the windows.
Piper was tenacious, and he loved that about her, but sometimes he got annoyed with the things she was tenacious about. Eva would forgive him if he didn't wear the stupid costume to her party.
"Eva won't care if I don't wear it." Groaned Hunter.
"Yes, she will!" Piper huffed, "on the invite she's called it a Kigurumi Party. You can't go to a Kigu party and be the only person not wearing one!"
"I'll be a trend setter." Remarked Hunter.
"Don't try and be cute with me." Piper replied, slipping her hands onto her hips. Hunter grinned broadly in response, further irritating the young woman opposite him. "Just try it on!" She threw the costume at Hunter and he caught with his hands raised to stop it smacking him in the face.
"You try it on!" He threw it back and it landed on her head.
Yanking it off, Piper huffed as her hair splayed across her face. "It'll be too big for me! It's in your size."
The two of the stared at one another, silence filling the gap between, punctuated with Piper's heaving breaths through her nose. They would not come to an agreement, the two of them were both too head strong. So, they would have to compromise.
"What are you wearing?" Hunter asked. He pointed at the plastic bag behind her which she had left on the couch. "Show me, show me." He ordered.
With a sigh, Piper folded the other costume quickly and lay it on the back of the couch. She retrieved the other costume from the bag and let it unfurl to the floor. Piper had chosen a fox for her own costume. The only one she had found that would fit Hunter had been a white rabbit.
"How come you get to be a fox!" He pointed. "I should be the fox."
"If you can squeeze into this one, you can be the fox." Piper explained, handing it over to him.
"Deal." Hunter nodded firmly and grabbed the costume off her. Piper flopped back into the sofa and pulled a cushion towards her.
Hunter kicked off his shoes and began to unbuckle his belt.
"What are you doing?"
"Taking my clothes off..." he murmured. "If I have to squeeze into this I'm not going to make it any harder than it has to be by wearing clothes underneath it." He looked at Piper as he explained as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.
"But..." Piper furrowed her brows a little, "but... when we go to Eva's party you'll have to wear clothes under it. You... can't be naked."
"No one's going to know."
"I'll know!"
Hunter grinned, yanking down his jeans to his ankles and then pulling them off his feet. "In that case we can disappear to a quiet corner for a Kigu rendezvous." Piper rolled her eyes, hoping that her blush wasn't entirely too noticeable.
Ridding himself of his hoodie and t-shirt next, Hunter was naked except for his boxers and dog tags. Tall, lithe and muscular, Piper often enjoyed marvelling at his physique, but today she found more interest in the fringe on the cushion she held.
Hunter stepped into the feet of the costume and pulled it up to his shins. He managed to pull it on over his arms and head and zipped up the front. The legs came up too short, and the arms only came up to his elbows, but he had fit in the costume and stood that with his hands on his hips smirking at Piper.
She had wanted to wear the fox, but they had come to some kind of arrangement and now she would be stuck. Stuck wearing the over sized white rabbit costume, and knowing that Hunter would be either completely naked or only wearing boxers beneath his costume on the night of Eva's party.
Folding her arms, Piper puffed out her cheeks. "I wanted to be the fox..."
Because I actually realised that this challenge was meant to be a drawing challenge originally, and therefore some of the prompts were better suited to arty bits, I decided to change a couple of them to ones that would work better for writing.
I know, technically, I'm sure that's cheating, but I seriously don't care. These are for me to do for fun, and changing a few of them isn't hurting anyone.
Case in point, changed this one from "wearing animal ears" to "memory".
TADAH!!
Standing at the threshold of the door, he stared in, looking for a spare area of floor or bed where he could park himself. Beside him, Skollmon sniffed at a large black sack sitting out in the hallway, next to it two others all filled to bursting.
"Why do you have so much stuff!" Caesarmon complained, cowering under Piper's desk where he had been practically blocked in by the piles of books and other odds and ends. "You're such a hoarder!"
"That's why we're having a clear out." Piper replied. She had her back to the door, sitting on the carpet facing her largest bookshelf. Three of the shelves were empty, and Hunter could see where they had drooped due to the increasing weight normally on them. She had six more shelves to go, each one brimming with hard and soft back books.
"What's this 'we' stuff?" Remarked Caesarmon, making a face beneath the desk. "I'm trapped! And I'm hungry!"
"I'll order in some sushi later..." Piper said breezily, skimming the titles of two large, leather bound tomes she held in her hands. "I forgot I had this one..." Putting one with a red cover to one side, she opened the second book, one with a faded green cover, and began to flick through the pages.
"What did you find?" Asked Hunter, stepping carefully over one precariously placed pile.
Piper started a little to his voice. She had left Hunter napping on the sofa in the living room about half an hour ago when she had decided to continue with her Spring clean out.
"I thought you were dozing." She pointed out, closing the book carefully.
"I did nap." Said Hunter, he shifted a few bits and pieces on Piper's bed and made space for himself to sit down. Skollmon hopped up beside him, climbed behind and curled up on one of Piper's pillows.
Hunter took the book from her hands and examined it. It was a an old, worn and well-loved copy of 'Gone With The Wind'. On the inside cover was a small note written in ornate black fountain pen, and several names written on the opposing page, including that of Piper's mother. "Who are the other names?"
"My grandparents." Piper said with a small smile. "It was my great-grandmother's, I think? And it was given to her daughter, then my mom and then me."
"Looks like it's been read a lot."
Piper twisted her hair behind her ear, "not by me. I've never read it."
Hunter widened his eyes comically, and lightly slapped his cheeks with his hands. "A book you haven't read?!" He gasped.
Piper looked at him shrewdly, with a wry smile across her lips. "There do happen to be vast amounts of books I haven't read."
"But you're the girl who reads Victor Hugo and Alexandre Dumas for fun!" Gaped Hunter, grinning. He handed the book back to Piper.
She rolled her eyes and sighed gently, "and what of it? I grew up with Hugo and Dumas." She slipped her hands onto her hips and rose on her knees. "Now, would you like to help me?"
Hunter lifted his eyebrows and looked at the scattered mess around him, littering the floor, her desk, the bed and any other spare space.
"I'll be able to get everything done faster with some help," Piper explained, shuffling towards him on her knees and leaning against his own legs. "And then, if we get it done, you can stay over."
Hunter tilted an eyebrow. "Tempting..." he leaned back a little. "Would I get anything else for helping?"
Giggling softly, Piper rose up a little higher and drew Hunter towards her, slipping her own hands towards his and twining their fingers together. With an amused smirk, Hunter bent forwards.
"You can have a bath, in the niiiiice big tub in my parents bathroom..." Piper said softly, laying small open mouthed kisses against Hunter's neck. "And I can be in there with you."
"Hmmm..." Hunter groaned quietly, "and all I have to do is help you in here?" He enjoyed when Piper took a little initiative and let her desires do the driving for a change.
"Uh-huh." Piper confirmed with a small nod of her head.
She bit lightly at the skin of his neck, and Hunter's breath hitched a little. "All right..." he rumbled, tilting his head up, "but you should probably stop doing that if we want to get your room clear..."
"Doing what?" Piper bit again, a little harder. Hunter hissed.
"That."
"STOP BEING GROSS!" Caesarmon shouted from his desk and chair prison. "If I wasn't stuck under here..." he glared at Hunter.
The moment gone, thanks to the disgruntled otter, Hunter laughed and kissed Piper briefly on the mouth. They would continue later, for now there was a mountain of things to organise and go through.
Together they made light work of the books, and boxes and the drawers. Piper made several stacks for books, one for keeping, another for storage, a third for getting rid of. With a lot of coaxing and convincing, Hunter was able to get her to part with quite a large selection of books she had bought on a whim and would never read, or copies she had both hard and soft back copies of.
Caesarmon had not been joking when he had said Piper was a hoarder, her room was not small, but still, even Hunter was amazed just how much she had managed to fit into the space.
They cleared, cleaned and restacked her several book shelves, one with fictional books and another with books she would need for studying and her courses at college. They cleaned out the draws in her desk, and the shelves above, getting rid of more random things she had put there and forgotten about.
"Chest of drawers?" Skollmon asked a while later, pulling at the wooden handle of the bottom drawer.
Caesarmon had escaped his desk prison and now sprawled out on the practically bare floor. "You could always stand to go through the bottom. Its full of junk anyway."
"It is not all junk." Piper replied tartly. She knelt and pulled the draw open slowly, letting Skollmon shuffle back as she did. Hunter ran his hands over the back of his neck, looking to the mess of clothes, and fabrics and random things he was met with.
"How much of that is not junk?" He asked, smirking a little.
"Maybe about half..." admitted Piper. She sighed and began to pull things out. Several scarves hit the floor first, then a small box full of different painkillers, and other medications that Piper took for headaches and when she had been injured in the past. Two empty photo albums followed, a few pairs of gloves, and some singular ones. Programmes from concerts, plays and musicals that Piper had kept over the years, most of the autographed. There was a selection tops, shorts and cropped trousers that Piper remarked she had forgotten she owned. Two packs of cards, one well played and then a larger box from the back leaving the drawer empty.
"What's this?"
"It's a treasure box." Piper explained, putting the box to one side as Skollmon sniffed it. It wasn't an ornate box, in fact it was rather plain, and had obviously once been a shoe box. The lid was damaged at the corners where it must have been batted around and had things shoved against it.
"Treasure box?" Repeated Hunter. He slipped to the floor from the bed and leaned against its frame. Skollmon nudged the lid off with his nose and began rifling through the things within. Caesarmon slid across the carpet on his belly, curious.
"No, Skollmon..." Piper batted the flaming wolf away gently with her hands as he planted one of his large paws in the box and accidently folded over one of the edges.
"Sorry." His ears drooped.
She smiled, rubbed his ear to show she was not angry, and lay the box on her legs while sitting opposite Hunter. "Don't you have one?"
"No." Hunter replied, laughing a little, "I think that might be more a girl thing..." He was intrigued none-the-less. "What's in there?"
"Concert and theatre tickets." Piper began, removing a wad of them and putting them on the floor. "A lanyard from an amusement park... Some random bits of school work from when I was young. Doodles my parents kept for me. A pair of cat ears I must have worn with a halloween costume... Badges from my birthdays. Photos from when I was little, trips with my brother and parents on my birthdays. First time I went to a zoo..."
Piper handed Hunter a photograph which was a little faded. In it, Piper was probably about four, with long, slightly darker blonde hair and dressed in a pair of red dungarees and a white t-shirt sat on the shoulders of her father. Beside him was Cleo, Piper's mother, and Jesse holding Cleo's hand.
"And this one is my first day of school..." she handed him another where she was wearing a uniform with a blazer in green and grey skirt. Her smile was huge and Hunter could see where she had lost one of her front milk teeth.
She went through the photographs one-by-one. A selection of herself with her family, some of herself and Caesarmon in different forms. There were photographs of her other family members too, grandparents and great-grandparents that she had never met. Photographs of her mother's estate over in England. Her parents wedding day. Pictures of Jesse holding a baby Piper.
Each one had a story behind it, and long or short, Hunter listened with interest. Skollmon had sat beside him to better see the old photos, and Caesarmon looked at them over Piper's shoulder when she explained them.
"You were a cute kid." Hunter said, passing the last photograph back to her.
"Thanks," Piper smiled, tucking the photos safely back into the box. "I bet you were adorable. You'll have to show me some photos of you when you were young some time."
Hunter cleared his throat, "I... doubt there are any." He explained slowly.
"No?" Opposite him, Piper replaced the lid on the box and tilted her head. "Why?"
"My parents weren't really the type to take photographs." He shrugged, becoming uncomfortable.
Understanding at once and feeling rather foolish for forgetting just who Hunter's parents were, Piper bit her lip. "Sorry... there's me going on about my memories, and showing off my photographs and I didn't even think about you."
"You don't need to apologise." Hunter replied, his tone a little curt. "Why should you stop enjoying your good memories. One of us might as well have some."
Skollmon whined a licked Hunter's hand.
"Don't you have... a single good memory from your childhood?" Piper inquired tentatively. She could sense this was a subject that was a rather difficult one for Hunter to deal with, but was still curious.
"Not that I recall." Sighed Hunter. "Not like it matters." He leaned his head back against Piper's bed and stared at the ceiling for a few minutes, while the room filled with a heavy silence. Piper remained stationary, while Caesarmon and Skollmon looked between the two of them.
Eventually, it was Skollmon who broke the reverie. "I have one!" He announced. "The day you met me! That must be a happy memory."
Hunter's lips pulled into a lopsided smile as he stared at the blue eyes of the orange wolf. Slowly, he reached onto his head and rubbed between his ears. "Yeah... I admit that's a good one."
30 Theme OTP Challenge - Nine: Hanging With Friends
I'M BACK.
I kind of lost all steam on this because I got stuck on this particular prompt. I mean... the only friends Piper and Hunter ever interact with is the Reboot crew. So I tried to change it up, but I think it got lost in translation and is just a huuuuge mish-mash of randomness.
Its... kind of cute though.
I don't know if I've ever stressed, but these are in not particular order, unless mentioned.
I really want to get these finished and also the 30 NSFW ones done after I've moved, as I'll have no interwebs for about two weeks and therefore no distractions.
"Okay," Hunter leaned on the door frame, holding his D-Touch to his ear as he spoke down the receiver. "What time are you going to get away?"
"I have no idea." Piper sighed back. Her voice was weary and a touch irritated. He could hear muffled chatter and barking in the background. "We're rammed. All my appointments are over running because I had an emergency to deal with first thing."
"What emergency?" Inquired Hunter. He always took an interest in Piper's work. She appreciated it, and he was genuinely curious about her job.
"A bitch I was examining decided my examination table was the perfect place to start going into labour." Explained Piper crossly. "It wasn't pretty."
"Poor Kitten." Hunter said, smirking to himself. "Well, let me know when you might be round. The guys want to meet you."
"I want to meet them too. And hear what awful things you've been saying to them about me." Piper laughed softly down the phone. "I better go."
"Okay," Hunter smiled, and ran his hand back through his hair, "text me later."
"I will." Piper confirmed.
"Love you, Kitten. See you later." He hung up and slipped his D-Touch into his back pocket.
He could hear his friends in the living talking loudly over the basketball commentary on the television. At the moment it was just the warm up, the full game didn't begin for another fifteen minutes or more. Inviting his oldest friends around to watch sport was one of the main things Hunter missed about having Digimon to deal with all the time. It was a rare occurrence for them all to be free. He had planned to introduce Piper to them all officially today, they had been dating long enough and Hunter's friends had been pestering him about her, but that now looked like it would not happen.
"So?" Sam looked up from the television as Hunter entered the room and flopped onto the couch. Sam, Alfie and Conner were all friends Hunter had made at boarding school and the four of them had been thick as thieves since their early years. They had kept in touch during high school and college, and now were all of independent means wand had their own modes of transport, could meet up more.
"She might not be able to make it..." Hunter sighed and ran his hand over his face.
Alfie and Conner jeered, throwing empty beer cans across the room at Hunter.
"I knew it! She doesn't exist!" Conner laughed. He grabbed a couple of spicy chips. "There's no way you of all people could be in a long term relationship."
Hunter rolled his eyes. Conner had something of a point, before Piper, Hunter's longest relationship had been six months and he had never introduced any of his previous girlfriends to his friends. Piper though was different, they hadn't been dating for even four months yet, but Hunter had a good gut instinct about it. He didn't want his friends approval, he wouldn't have cared if they liked or hated her, but he had wanted her to meet them, and them her. They were both important areas of his life, if anything the two of them getting on would have been good in the long term.
"She does exist, you've seen the photos." Retorted Hunter wearily.
"Photoshop." Alfie remarked, with a slow grin. "Any idiot worth his salt can impose a picture of a pretty girl into a photo."
"You think she's pretty?" Hunter pressed, tilting an eyebrow. He casually leaned across to the coffee table and took a long drink from a bottle of beer.
Alfie shrugged, "the girl in the photo is pretty, yeah. Whether she's actually your girlfriend or some Victoria's Secret model you found on Google..."
"I'm not that vain." Hunter replied, though quietly made a note to mention to Piper one of his friends had compared her to a Victoria's Secret model. That would be a big boost for her, he thought. "Anyway, she really does exist."
"Heh," Conner chuckled and took a swig of his drink. "I'll believe it when I see some proof."
"Fine." Grumbled Hunter. He grabbed his laptop from beside the sofa and opened it on his lap. His friends had always known just how to push his buttons. He shouldn't have been rising to their baiting, but he had been putting up with their teasing and tormenting about Piper's existence for the last few months.
"He's got the laptop out!" Alfie laughed. He and Alfie crossed to the couch and leaned against the back of it to peer over Hunter's shoulder.
Alfie nudged Hunter in the head, "have you made a fake Facebook profile for her any everything?"
"Not fake." Hunter retorted.
Piper would have killed him for what he was doing. Showing off her profile, the pictures and videos he had of her that he and others had taken. She was far more private and subdued about their relationship than he was, though neither of them shouted it from the roof tops.
"Here," he clicked a link on his own page and brought up Piper's. "Facebook profile, last updated five minutes ago." He indicated.
Conner, Sam and Alfie remained quiet, looking over the details available to them.
"Nothing on here that says she's your girlfriend though." Conner pointed out, "did she refuse your relationship request?" He teased, "you know it's not official until it's Facebook official."
"What are you, twelve?!" Grunted Hunter, shoving Alfie in the head hard. The other man let out a loud bark of laughter.
"Anything else?" Asked Sam, who seemed now more interested in finding out about Piper, than teasing Hunter, something he was grateful for.
A little hesitantly, Hunter returned to the desktop and opened a folder. He kept the photos and videos he had take of Piper and his friends on his hard drive, in case he ever lost his phone. And if ever others took photos of him, or videos he always requested copies to keep.
He clicked on a photograph, one of Piper from a few days ago where she had stayed over. He had managed to grab a few photos of her before she woke up, and then several more as they had lain in bed together. She was adorable in them all, her hair mussed and shaggy around her face, her tank top draw up across her belly and one leg sticking out over the covers. One of his favourites was where she was on her back, an arm above her head and the other across her stomach.
Slowly, his three friends reeled through the photographs and watched some of the short videos, most were of Piper, Eva and Frankie. They three of them being filmed by Hunter, Tom or James. Even Reyez had taken a few photographs and videos in the past. A couple of the videos featured the three girls on the beach, decked in swimwear all talking as they sunbathed, while not realising they were being observed.
Another was of Tom on a DDR machine with Eva, the two of them completely synchronized in their movements while the others stood around and watched.
As they went through them all, Hunter began to feel a little melancholy. These were all private things, special to him even if they may not have been to his friends. He felt now, showing them to the others, tainted them somewhat. Like he was showing a very vulnerable side to himself and he found himself feeling uneasy.
"That's enough proof, right?" He said slowly, and closed the laptop screen to noises of complaint from Alfie and Conner only.
"She's very attractive." Sam said, leaning back against the back of the couch. Hunter slipped the laptop back down to the floor.
Alfie jumped into his seat, "I think her friends are prettier. The one with the dark hair?"
"Frankie."
"Yeah. She has nothing to be ashamed of." Conner chuckled quietly, "think your girlfriend might introduce us?"
"Frankie is taken." Hunter replied shortly. Suddenly he didn't feel in the mood to watch the game, or to hang out with his friends even though he had been looking forward to it for weeks now. His mood had soured.
"Why don't you have a photo of her on your phone?" Asked Sam calmly. Hunter had always been closer to Sam than Alfie or Conner. Not that he preferred one over the other two, but Sam was always quieter and more logical. He never went too far in his mocking or teasing as the others did, and he also always knew when enough was enough.
Hunter smiled a little, "she's pretty self-conscious. She thinks all the photos of her are hideous."
"She's really not." Sam remarked coolly. "And she's very fond of you."
"You think?" Hunter turned his head to face the other man.
"It's obvious."
Not wanting to push the matter, Hunter let his friend's word settle and sank back against the cushions.
Later, after the game had finished and the boys had ordered pizza and were arguing about which movie to watch, the doorbell rang, and the four of them leapt up to answer it, their hunger rampant as the snacks they had brought with them did little to fill their stomachs.
Alfie reached the door first and wrenched it open. "YOU TOOK YOUR TIME!!" He shouted, into the face of a petite, terrified blonde who looked ready to bolt.
"Piper!" Hunter shoved Alfie aside, "you got off work!"
"Yeah..." Piper replied softly, "uhm... I just thought I'd come by. I didn't realise your friends would still be here..."
"Please, come in." Sam said graciously, shoving Conner and Alfie away from the door as they stared at her like hungry wolves around an injured deer.
"Oh, thank you but no, I wouldn't want to impose." Piper shook her head and backed up a step.
Hunter fastened his arms around her waist, "you came all this way. Just come in for ten minutes."
Piper shrank a little within his embrace, peering beyond him at Sam awkwardly.
Sensing his presence was making her uncomfortable, Sam left the door to return to the living room.
"Do I get a kiss hello?" Asked Hunter, dropping his head a little. Piper's lips curved into a small smile and she pushed onto her toes, glancing her lips across Hunter's sweetly. He could smell her shampoo and shower gel. She must have showered at work as she sometimes did after a long day.
"I'll come by tomorrow." Piper said softly, returning to her feet.
"You're here now." Hunter replied, kissing the tip of Piper's nose. "Stay... I promise they'll behave."
"It's not that." Piper explained, "it's your boys day. Makes it a bit pointless if a girl is there."
Hunter grumbled softly. "Okay." He said softly. "Wait here."
Leaving Piper slightly perplexed, Hunter returned into his apartment for a few minutes, and returned with a jacket and his keys in hand. He closed the door behind him and locked it.
"What... are you doing?" Piper stared at him as if he was insane. "Your friends are still here. You can't leave your guests!"
"Of course I can." Hunter replied happily, "I've done it before, they won't destroy anything."
"But you've been looking forward to seeing them for weeks." Piper flailed her hands, "you... you should stay with them. You can see me any time!"
"I want to see you now." Hunter explained.
"Bu... but..." Piper's words caught in her throat as Hunter swept her up in his arms, crushing a warm, hard kiss to her mouth and running his hands back through her hair. She reciprocated, gasping through her teeth at the surprise of it and how Hunter lightly bit her lower lip as he broke away.
"Stop arguing with me." Hunter spoke, firmly and keeping his lips inches from Piper's own. "they don't care."
Piper opened her eyes and blinked owlishly, "okay..."
"Good." He slipped one of his hands into hers, and began to lead the way through the apartment building. His other hand clasped his digital camera in the pocket of his jacket. "Maybe we could stop somewhere on the way to yours?" He suggested.
