these two really don’t see eye to eye and adding sex and/or romance to that equation would definitely make it worse. petra sees communication and having all the information as one of the most important things in a relationship—personal or professional—and liam lying about the job he wanted to pull and playing cowboy and putting them in a situation where she didn't have all the facts really put a strain on their relationship. she likes his upbeat attitude a lot but positivity alone isn’t enough to bridge that gap. and he’s said some really shitty obnoxious stuff to her that makes petra feel like he doesn’t understand or respect her. she knows better than to get involved with him (but in a world where they did it would be a short-lived fling and end explosively badly probably)

both their hackles would be up So high but they’d be such a power couple if they could get over the Who Is That Other Dog paranoia of it all. a pair of tools who turned against the hand that wielded them, but caes is eager to step into the light while nikö wants to stay in the shadows. they could bring down a dynasty if they wanted to. they’d never even touch each other. they’d have some crazy psychosexual shit going on probably.

lmfao the roulette wheel really went for it. to be honest I think they’d be kinda sweet. theron is the sort of gallant warrior whose company I think riya would enjoy and he has an incredibly strong moral code which I think could be something of a relief given riya’s feelings about the current situation. he’s also Very dalish so I think she might put him on edge a bit at first? but he has a big heart and I think she’d win him over through pure charisma. it would end on a bittersweet note when they both realize their lives are moving in different directions, and they want different things—he’s always going to be dalish at heart and he’ll never be able to keep up with her. but the time they have together will be treasured

DAI — dai is from airedon, though he was born (made? wished into existence?) in the underdark. post-campaign he settled mostly in selto, though he travels a fair bit helping repatriate void travel victims and also just. generally fix wiztopia

BRAN — bran was born in rivia, a prosperous trade city in the west. she currently lives aboard the luckrunner, her ship

CAES — caes was born in vyrantium and lives there still

DAI — he’s a cleric/paladin multiclass (cleric 14, paladin 6). his subclasses are sky domain and oath of the shield respectively

BRAN — bran is a fighter, gunslinger subclass

CAES — dragon age rules, he’s a mage. d&d rules, he’s a sorcerer. his subclass is force mage (and it slaps I wanna put him in a fight so bad)

DAI — with the caveat that everything I ever learned about enneagram I learned from tabby (thanks tabby and I'm sorry), I think he’s 1w9 - the idealist (purposeful, principled, strong sense of justice)

BRAN — 8w7 - the independent (determined, natural leader, charismatic, sociable, self-confident and ambitious)

CAES — this is hard but I thiiiink 3w4 - the professional (dedicated, stubborn, seeking, afraid of failure)

23. What color do you associate with your OC? What’s their favorite color?

DAI — sky blue and yellow/gold. I think his favorite color is probably also blue? but a much deeper and darker blue than the color I associate him with (zaref blue, perhaps)

BRAN — blue, tan, gold, cream. she’s got a whole palette. her favorite color is gold (in the yellow way and also in the money way) except for all the worlds where her favorite color is a rich clay red

CAES — I associate him with cream, gold, black, and a deep royal blue. his favorite color isssssss I don’t know. either gold or purple? maybe purple.

before the magic and the lessons and aneleus' favor, when he was just a lowly house slave who slept in the kitchens with all the other lowly house slaves and sleeping arrangements were decided by favor and seniority, caes arranged for another one of the boys—a year or so older than him, liked well enough to avoid the grind of chopping vegetables and washing dishes in favor of running plates too and from the dining room—to have an accident. nothing serious, but a worn-out sandal strap and the overturned corner of a rug were enough to send the boy down with the master’s favorite porcelain on a night when he had guests to attend. the head of the kitchens had words and a birch for the boy, and caes was called in to replace him, careful to avoid the shards of dinnerware strewn across the carpet as he carried wine and dates and grape leaves in a tunic far nicer than any he’d ever owned. it was too bad for the boy, really, but caes enjoyed sleeping closer to the hearth after that

MINAH — minah is (wow I had to look this up I couldn’t remember what year I said she was born) currently 28! her birthday is 24 bloomingtide (may 24)

VESPER — vesper’s birthday is 23 kingsway (september 23) and she was born 9:13 dragon. she was 28 when she became the herald of andraste, 29 when she was named the inquisitor, and 40 during veilguard

CAES — caes is 34 and his birthday is 30 firstfall (november 30)

MINAH — warden scout armor! it’s a very nice kit she appreciates it

VESPER — light armor. she’s got the enchanter’s coat with enchanter arms and legs. (me: thinking about redesigning vesper’s armor Again)

CAES — he has a set of adamantine-threaded robes that negate critical hits, as well as a ring of protection to improve his armor class and saves

1. are they associated with a certain color? what color do they wear the most?

MINAH — minah’s got a warm browns/reds palette—ocher, red ocher, (burnt) sienna, gold highlights, etc. she wore a lot of browns and reds with the orchestra but with the wardens she’s shifted more towards darker/richer browns and blues (very dusky blues. dark, stealthy blues.)

KOL — I associate her with white and grey. she wears mostly black and white and, in a past life, red. one day she’ll earn some more color but she doesn’t really have that much going on right now

CAES — caes’s color palette is blue, cream and gold (I think those might be house nivaeum’s colors? I can’t be bothered to find my notes right now), but I see him shifting towards more black, purple and gold as he slips out from the shadow of house nivaeum

12. how long have they been around? do you know their birthday? is their birthday the day you made them or another day? what do they think of celebrating birthdays?

MINAH — according to discord the first vague notion of minah-to-be is from April 1, 2022, back when she was a boy. minah proper appears in my chat history with kite on July 15 which means it’s probably her inceptionversary RIGHT NOW (omg). her actual canonical birthday is May 24/24 Bloomingtide because I wanted her to be a fervenial according to the Unofficial Dragon Age Zodiac (also honestly gemini is pretty fitting for her what with the two faces of it all). she likes celebrating birthdays in general, just not her own

KOL — I wrote down my very first proto-kol thoughts(TM) on May 12, 2024 and she spent most of that year cooking before we started playing in January 2025. I have no idea when her birthday is but I think it’s probably summer/early autumn given that she was 11 and three quarters when shit got fucked in the prologue and that was springtime. she’s been, uh, trained out of viewing birthdays as anything special

CAES — caes was first conceived in late September 2023 and fully formed on Nov 9, 2023. he hasn’t got a canonical birthday and doesn’t particularly care about celebrating birthdays.

25. how good/bad is their hearing? what about their eyesight?

MINAH — both her hearing and eyesight are fine, tho I do think she’s maybe on the path to some mild hearing loss between the music performances and the explosives

KOL — her hearing is average and she has perhaps slightly sharper-than-average eyesight (investigation + perception proficiency)

CAES — I think caes has uncommonly sharp elf hearing and is a tiny bit predisposed to nearsightedness; he’d end up with glasses down the line (and look so dashing)

32. do they have any habits that aren't particularly self-destructive, just maybe odd?

MINAH — she’s got her various performer superstitions. really minor stuff, habits she doesn’t really think about doing but definitely does. idk what they are. touching a wagon wheel before a trip, saying thank-you to a performance space, tapping (or miming tapping) the lintel of a door. not saying the name of the Marcher Play. that kind of thing.

KOL — I think she’s got a like, memorization tic she tries to hide but doesn’t always succeed in masking. some kind of funky finger tapping association thing maybe?

CAES — he’s done an excellent job of training himself out of doing anything odd/unusual publicly, but I think he maybe has an evening or morning routine that would be a little strange to watch. something really private and a little extreme focused around protecting/delineating his space that comes out of a long history of not quite being able to trust his privacy
