There are rules to being at a restaurant
They may not be on a sign because we cant tell you these things:
Don’t sit yourself. That’s how you get lame service.
If there are more of you in a group, please order more than water to drink. ALL OF YOU.
Don’t tell me the coffee isn’t hot enough if it isn’t boiling.
The dessert menu is at the other end of the table.
Please don’t stiff us. You’re contributing to our poverty.
No, you really can’t use two coupons at the same table. Yes, even if you split your check.
Yes, believe it or not, we do close.
Don’t take your server’s pen.
If you walk in and see us looking at our watches two times or more and look at one another before you even make the host stand, we closing soon.
Do not order steak or grilled chicken twenty minutes before close, it will not be well done. Hell, it won’t even be medium well.
Thank you for complimenting my tattoos. No, I do not want to see all of yours.
Stay out of our territory of the restaurant.
Servers/bartenders make $2.13 an hour plus tips. Our checks are heavily taxed. Need I tell you more?
If you’re a visiting (ex)server, we hold you to a higher standard, however…you know how to act.
Do not put us through Hell for you and screw us over.
Do not, repeating, DO NOT grab your plates from our hands. They’re stacked. They will fall, and you will be upset.
