Cafe Corner: True North
Although it's no student-run cafe, True North remains a campus favorite. Located just off campus, on 57th street, True North serves up coffee and tea, along with exciting lattes like their cardamom lavender lattes, charcoal lattes, and golden turmeric lattes. They also have great smoothies and wraps if you're looking for something more substantial. Grab a table inside to get some work done, or enjoy their patio seating if the weather is nice! Get an iconic "Where fun comes to dine" cup while you're there!
Our long tradition of a peaceful transition of power is still a day for pomp and circumstance, even if we aren’t in the mood to celebrate. So we put up some Red, White, and Blue…
…only to find some Trump supporters had gotten onto the roof during the night.
Cafe Corner: Plein Air
Plein Air is a coffee shop and cafe located in between the Seminary Co-op, a favorite independent bookstore near campus, and the Robie House. Plein Air is loved for its delicious baked goods and extensive menu including breakfast foods, tartines, and baguette sandwiches. It also has a great patio for outside seating!
Cafe Corner: Ex Libris
Ex Libris, also known as Ex Lib, is located on the Regenstein Library’s 1st floor. The cafe’s toaster even has a Twitter account! Located in the largest library on campus, Ex Lib is a student favorite. It’s open late and has many food and drink options. Occasionally it’ll reopen after midnight as “Ex Lib After Dark” and serve a secret menu!
Cafe Corner: Cafe Logan
Located on the first floor of the Logan Center for the Arts, Cafe Logan provides a unique dining experience that is unlike any other coffee shop at UChicago. They offer wraps, sandwiches, pizzas, salads, desserts, pastries, and small plates in addition to the normal beverages. It acts as a great coffee shop and eatery in one of the most beautiful buildings on campus!

Cafe Corner: Cobb Cafe
Located in the basement of the Cobb Hall, the largest building for classes on campus, this cafe is a great stop for a quick refuel between classes. This shop sells coffee for a low price and also has fresh-delivered baked goods every morning. It is known for its nontraditional vibe and for having a “student-run” feel. The baristas play their own music and movies, giving the place a great character that so many people love.
