As all astrology lovers probably know, today is the last day of #TaurusSeason, as Gemini takes over starting tomorrow, May 21 (the recent change to the zodiac by NASA with the addition of a 13th sign is being ignored in this post because this author just can't accept being personally changed to a Taurus after years of identifying as a Gemini). The zodiac has us thinking about circles, and that of course reminds us of UChicago's C-Bench, a favorite landmark outside of Cobb Hall. The bench, a gift of the Class of 1903, was once an exclusive spot for varsity athletes and their sweethearts, but now it's a lovely little pre- or post-class hangout spot. The space is also designed as a parabolic chamber, so if you stand on the stone circle in the center of the “C” and face the 1903 and speak in a regular voice, you'll hear an echo! A must-try if you come to campus.
