Café Rizal can be found at two locations inside the complex. You will spot the bigger main café as you walk past the chapel. You can eat al fresco or inside the restaurant. A smaller cafe is located in between Galleries 3 and 4, serving as a breather or resting spot, where visitors can refresh by ordering a drink or grabbing a quick snack.
We ordered an americano and a slice of red velvet cake with fresh strawberries on top while we took some time to rest and catch up with our life stories.
Before going home, we decided to have dinner at Oscar’s In Eugenio Lopez Center. It sits on a peak in Antipolo that offers what must be a most picturesque 360-degree view of Metro Manila, from Rizal all the way to Makati and beyond it, the blue horizon on a smog-free day. I can just imagine the sunset here on a good afternoon.
We ordered Pritong Manok ni Auntie Pollo (get it? pa-witty yarn siya jk), Bicol Express Lechong Kawali, and a Tres Leches cake on the side. Food was okay, but I think what makes this experience unique is the ambience, the view, and the serenity and peace that comes with the dining.
