Favorite thing/moment from your childhood I wrote an essay about my whistle. I'm fond of that. And I loved my first bed. But I think my favorite physical thing from my childhood is my stuffed tiger. That and my minnie mouse doll. Favorite moment? I have no idea right now. Assuming childhod is through elementary school, I'm going to list a few great memories: winning the barracuda award from my swim team, mr. feingold telling me to keep writing, being the first to jump off the diving board, bringing my cat to school, racing my friend meaghan to see who could finish the new harry potter books the fastest, playing in the dark room at the printing press, and my mom sneaking me out of the townhouse in virginia to see the first harry potter movie in theaters without letting my dad or brother know.
Do you play any instruments? Yeah! I played clarinet in six and seventh grade, and then for a semester of eighth grade. Second semester of eighth grade, I switched to the bass clarinet and played that through high school. I took a semester of piano lessons freshman year of college and have a keyboard, but i need to pick it back up.
What is the best way to spend the weekend? Um. Ideally: party on friday night with friends, after a brand new fantastic episode of hannibal, and then saturday alone with good food, netflix, and a good book, andthen sundya with awesome music and writing and a movie, maybe the movie with people, maybe not. a meal with someone other than myself once on saturday or sunday would be cool, too.
Do you have any summer plans? I actually do. On May 8th, I'm flying to Paris to spend a couple days with Julia (ipittytheghost), and then on May 10th, I'm taking a train to Cannes. I'm going to the Cannes Film Festival through a study abroad program at my university, and then i'm traveling alone in Europe (ideally: to montpellier to visit two friends, then maybe back to Paris for a day, then to Amsterdam, Scotland, Wales, and London? Maybe a weekend trip to Barcelona during the progrma, since there's a free weekend that the students usually travel during, and barcelona's a popular choice.) until June 21st, when I'm flying back from London. Not including technological devices, breathable air, or your liver, what is something you couldn’t live without? I'm stuck between choosing colors, music, and water (aside from drinking water). All three are very important to me.
Do you care about grammar? Yes. Yes, I do. Even though a lot of the time I type online without regards to the rules, I'd like to think that's ironically done. I care about grammar.
Do you ever just want to scream until your lungs and face burn and your chest hurts? Why? Yes. If you'd like to know why, I posted a text post earlier this evening, titled "a continuation of last night's thoughts." That sums it up pretty well. There's more to it, though, I guess. Would you care to describe your first kiss, if you’ve had one? If not, how about the tastiest meal you’ve ever had? Um, I guess. I can never remember if I kissed Catie Cloutier or not. Assuming not, then it was my girlfriend junior year of high school.
