EICMA 2019
L’ultima edizione di EICMA conferma alcune sensazioni che già da tempo gli appassionati di Cafe Racer avevano colto: la scena internazionale assiste ad un assestamento generale che non butta fuori nuovi “modelli wow”. Aumentano le cilindrate, cambiano gli allestimenti, si rivisitano vecchie glorie, ma la sostanza rimane la stessa. Belle novità invece dal reparto corse, soprattutto Ducati, Honda e la varesina MV Agusta, e dagli approcci all’elettrico delle grandi case.
Sì perchè quest’anno ne è valsa la pena soprattutto per i prototipi, un futuribile che ammicca con eleganza al presente e catapulta gli spettatori in un nuovo immaginario. Tra il pubblico c’è chi sentenzia: “E’ solo design!”, e forse hanno ragione. Tuttavia....che figata! Una celebrazione estetica senza precedenti che si materializza a pochi centimetri dal volto. BMW ha tutta la mia attenzione: le linee, i dettagli, la seduta, le proporzioni, i materiali...
Stesso discorso per Aston Martin, che coniuga con successo la tradizione di un brand che non sbaglia un colpo con l’innovazione di un concept che lascia a bocca aperta: un’aggressività aggraziata, un carattere schivo che ama farsi corteggiare nella sua inaccessibilità. Eppure...la moto è lì, che implora di essere messa alla prova su asfalto. Tutti la guardano in silenzio: forse non la capiscono...o forse non c’è complimento migliore della pura ammirazione.
