I’m not a big fan of getting up early – especially not on a weekend! – BUT there are a few exceptions. Food works sometimes, but the promise of seeing beautiful machines is a much better way to lure me out of bed. XD My boyfriend brought me along last Sunday, even when I almost chickened out fell back asleep.
The concept of Bikes & Breakfast seems pretty straightforward: motorcycle enthusiasts gathering and having breakfast. This B&B was held at Caferista, a cozy café hiding in Kapitolyo; it was actually a bit overwhelming to see the parking spaces completely dominated by motorcycles.
The community seems very warm, but I’m shy as heck and didn’t really know anyone, so I retreated to a corner. :( I tried to stay off to the side since I’m pretty new in the automotive/motoring community and didn’t want to draw attention to myself. It seems fate had a different idea of “laying low” because I won a prize sponsored by STKD Surf Moto in the raffle. XD
There were motorcycles outside AND inside the café, and I think I could get used to this view while eating. Also, get you a man who gets you chocolate cake for breakfast… after he watches you finish a kielbasa rice bowl first. HAHAHA I wasn’t actually able to finish it since it was a pretty generous serving by my standards, but it was delicious. I’m gonna try to conquer it by myself… eventually.
My goal for next time (if I’m not too chicken about it) is to actually mingle a bit more, and maaaybe arrive as a rider and not just a backrider. Someone has been prodding me to go take riding lessons anyway.
(Our eyes are open, I swear. They just get small when we smile XD)
