Arms folded across his chest, Sam bears the appearance of someone who is absolutely paying attention to the briefing. His eyebrows furrow, as if seriously contemplating the words of the agent at the front of the room. "Is he even listening himself, or does he just want to hear himself speak?" He pitches his voice low so only the woman next to him hears him.

Buffy and Xander sat with Willow at the dining room table as she traced the camera found on Buffy's lawn. Buffy's head was still reeling that the Trio was spying on her. What was even more shocking was that when Willow tapped into the camera source, she found out that there were cameras all over town, mostly where the Scoobies hung out.
"I think I got the Magic Box- Whoa!" Willow suddenly cut herself off by what she saw on the screen. Xander moved around the table to look at the screen and Buffy followed. "Wait, Xander, no," why was Willow trying to stop him. "Oh, God...." Buffy saw her friend's reaction before she saw what was on the screen, and when she did, she felt her stomach drop as she recognized the two people having sex on a table in the Magic Box.
Spike and....Anya!?
Buffy's face began to burn and air started whooshing in her ears. She wanted to look away, but she remained frozen in shock. Yes, she'd told Spike to move on, but she didn't expect to him to move on so soon. Especially with a friend of hers. And she DEFINITELY didn't expect to be watching it. Watching them kiss or walk around town all happy was one thing, but watching them have sex? Watching him kiss her, touch her, and- it hurt. She felt like someone was shoving an ice pick through her heart and her stomach dropped again.
She could barely hear Dawn as she entered the room, nor could she find the words to tell her sister to look away. She couldn't even hear what Xander was saying and he was standing next to her.
"Buffy?"
Willow's voice pulled her out of her reverie and she was finally able to move. "That's enough," Buffy said, moreso to herself than everyone else. She needed to be outside. She needed air. She went through the kitchen and into the backyard and then sat down in a lawn chair, trying to keep from crying. She refused to shed any tears over Spike.
"you should see the other guy," clint mused as he cleaned the last of his wounds. truthfully, the other guy didn't look much worse than him but clint had still come out as the winner. "i promise it looks worse than it is; look, it's barely hurting anymore." he moved his limbs to prove a point; no pain, just a bit of tension in his muscles as he moved. It remains odd that his daughter - his daughter! - is an intergalactic legend. A fact Rory is extremely proud of, really, but that does not detract the fact that whenever he meets River, he is hard-pressed not to hover and worry. That's his kid, okay!

It would hurt his feelings if he wasn't so aware of her humor, that her jokes ran to the dark, sometimes a little mean. Though sometimes he was sure even she couldn't tell the difference between her joking, and genuinely trying to admit something.
Like now?
He hoped not, selfishly this was the first time he'd been happy in a long while. Without the guilt, the pesky nausea twisting in his stomach because he'd almost lost his temper once, twice.. four times too many if he were honest.

He'd been tracking that piece of shit for weeks, crawling through back alley beatings and rough handed interrogations. So either she'd been tailing him this whole time and he hadn't noticed, or Frank had slowed down. Neither was ideal, kicking the corpse in frustration before turning to glare at her.
"What's the ask?'
For the intel he'd been planning on getting, for the information he knew that she not only had but the extra bits she'd figured out while he'd been clearing the lower floors. How had she even gotten in so cleanl- Actually no, he didn't want to think about that, it was just going to piss him off more.
"And keep in mind I'm all gun no wallet, so unless you want one of my mods I don't have much in the way of liquidation.'

“ AAH ” Sharp, almost wheezing inhale of air didn't soothe the undeniable insult thrown her way. Eyebrows shot up as she glanced back at her cousin. Surely they've been acting more like siblings, growing up in the same house, the only difference would be which sister they called mom.
So instead of flinging a punch, or an energy ball, back at him - which let's be honest happened more often than not - Vivi got up from the fluffy armchair of the living room. “ I'll be the bigger person now and leave, before either of us does something we could regret later. ”
But as soon as she turned her back to him, she started whispering a spell. Not a truly harmful one, only to clean the space of his immature insults, so he would stop saying nonsense. In fact, he won't be saying anything anymore. Every time Chris would open his mouth, no sound would be heard.. No, she won't be regretting that.
