SEVEN SEAS WATERPARK, CAGAYAN DE ORO, PHILIPPINES (July 10, 2022) Today was a day for a solo adventure. I planned for some me-time, and I was going to have it. So where did I go and what did I do? I basked in the sun at a man-made beach, frolicked amid artificially-generated waves, and slid down some scary, slippery slopes. All at Seven Seas Waterpark in Cagayan de Oro, a 25-minute drive from my hotel at the heart of the city. Pure exhilaration. Though I must admit it was a bit uncomfortable queuing up with teenagers for the water slides. Where were all the people of my generation? At the kiddie pool watching over their children.
