Eyebrows furrowed, and as the scene unfolded in front of Travis, he couldn't help but attempt to shield the only person who'd been kind to him. It was clear that the world was coming to another end, and as much as he wanted to go on his own... this girl was too good to suffer the consequences of her people. Before anyone had a chance to respond, his arms were around the redhead, and he was running. As he went, the only thought circling his mind was how bad of an idea this probably was. A bullet pierced through tough skin, and teeth flashed as he cringed--- the pain wouldn't last long. Unlike the others, it didn't slow him down.
He didn't stop until he reached a cave, which he decided with a quick examination that the inside was safe enough to hide this out. Just the right amount of subtle, and the right amount of underground... anything dangerous would likely pass over it.
Placing the girl on her feet, he remained silent and turned around to gaze outside. Apologies would have to wait until they were more secure.
