Burning Sensation
Pain. That was the only sensation that Galehodin's body could even register at the time. This feeling had been going on for so long, he wasn't even sure that he knew of anything else.
It had to be a week, at the very least, since he had been captured by the Inquest. A week since this horrible experimentation had began. A week since that horrible Asura began peeling the bark from his body and registering just how long it took for it to begin repairing itself.
A week felt like a century.
He was almost used to being strapped to a table at this point. He was probably on it more often than he was inside the small containment cell he was thrown into during the first day.
What he was not used to was the current contraption attached to his head, small metal finger like rods forcing the lids of his eyes open. This was something new, and new was something he couldn't handle.
He was panicking, of course he was, but his head was held in place by some sort of clamps on either side of his head, forcing him to stare straight above him; right at the grinning Asura who was keeping him here.
"We have a new test for you, sprout," The voice of his capture was laced with glee as he uncorked a small vial and hovered the opening over Gale's left eye. His grin widened as he tilted the vial. "Now you might feel a slight burning sensation...."
Gale screamed, his hand shooting up towards his eyes in an instant as he bolted upright in his rented bed. His heart was racing in his chest as he clawed at his blinded eyes, a full blown panic attack overtaking his body.
His breathing was hectic and it took quite a while for the Sylvari to realise that he had only been dreaming. From the shifting on the bed beside him, he knew he had awoken Caib, but he paid him little mind.
He began to sob.
