I liiiiiiiive 

or, at least i’m still breathing, anyway

This semester has been really draining. I’ve been working three part-time jobs to keep up with tuition and various other payments, and also to get out of my parents’ house hopefully by the end of the summer. Just yesterday, though, I learned that I didn’t get into grad school, which absolutely sucks. So i’m stuck in the area for at least another year. 

it’s not a bad city, really, and i’m actually happy to stay affiliated with my school. It’s just that my folks are right there. I really need my own place. 

But anyway! 

on the upside, I just turned in a two weeks’ notice for one of the three jobs, and might be getting extra hours for one of the others. One won’t even be around during the summer, so I have that much less to deal with. I also hit a personal goal for my savings account. There is all that. 

All of this means that I’m sensing some extra free time somewhere on the horizon, and my muses are all baying for blood, so. . . who knows? I’m looking forward to re-coding my current RP blog and maybe even get back into writing fic, we’ll see. My Flight Rising dragons will definitely benefit. 

I’ll even call it a mental health day. Because it is.

To those who say that alternate sexual orientation is a 'choice'

a) Imagine this. Say you're straight, okay, attracted to only the other gender. You walk into a cocktail party and you look around. And you see all sorts of attractive people.

If you're a man, you see all the lovely ladies - some blonde, some brunette, some redheads, some dressed in clingy, daring dresses and others more conservatively, some drinking, some not, some taken, some not. Can you control which woman you're attracted to? If you're a woman, you see all the handsome men there are. Some blonde, some brunette, some redheads. Some in pinstripes, some in plain, some with bowties and some with standard. Some drinking, some not, some taken, some not. Can you control which man you're attracted to? And therefore b). Fuck you. Sexual orientation is not a choice. There is no way anyone can CONTROL or CHOOSE whom they are attracted to.
