OC Smash or Pass: Cain Starlight

Rules: pretty self explanatory. include physical descriptions or pics, and propaganda. the “other” label can be used for “sexuality misalignment” (ie: oc is femme and you’re gay, vice versa or you aren’t into smashing but a specific thing you wanna do with them like perhaps hug or study them under a microscope idc).

PROS:

Outgoing. Bright, warm personality, Cain likes meeting people, making conversation and new friends, and trading stories.

Good listener. If you need someone to hear you out, a shoulder to cry on, or share your excitement, he's there for you. "Those ears aren't just for show"

Bartender. If you want a drink, alcoholic or not, he can put together something tailored to your tastes.

Alchemist. Hungover? Cold? Stressed? Cain can make something for it. Need dyes and paints? Those are his favorite to make.

Open to new things. Cain will try anything at least once before he decides he likes it or not, and he's always happy to learn more about anything.

CONS:

Shady dealings. Cain will take on any job request, and he is more than willing to overlook anything illegal if it pays well.

Debt. He owes a lot of money to a lot of people. It's not unusual for some of them to come knocking to collect, and not all of them are nice about it.

Closed off. While he's open to to talk and make friends, he'll keep his own life very close to his chest. Not one to talk about the past, he'll usually deflect the conversation back to yourself or other topics.

Addiction. The main source of his debts.

MISC:

Born blind. Cain's aether doesn't flow properly in his body, and without specialty medication he's completely blind. Glasses help make up for the rest of it even with medication. That same medicine causes his eyes to glow.

Aetherically short-sighted. He can only feel aether very close to himself, and needs to touch anything he wants to get a reading off. It's easy to catch him off guard with any spells until when they are about to hit.

Smoker. For some a con, for some neutral (or even a pro), Cain's aether medication is taken through smoking, and he can be regularly seen with a pipe.

Piercings all thought his body, including snake bites, nipples, and jacob's ladder.

Night's out. He'd rather go out than stay at home. Be it a nightclub, a tavern, or even a quiet stroll through the streets. If you like dates, hangouts, and going out, he's your guy. But if you're looking for a domestic experience Cain might not be what you're looking for.

City boy. If you drop him in the wilderness, he'd be helpless. He doesn't know survival skills like hunting, making shelter, or the sort. Best he can do is purify water to drink if he has his alchemy supplies.

Lover, not a fighter. Man can't hold his own in a fight. He knows which end of a dagger to hold, but his height is all he's got. If you want someone to protect you, look elsewhere, but if you like to do the protecting, he needs it.

SEXUALLY:

"Down for anything, as long as it's fun" is Cain's motto. A switch, he's very open to most things. He knows people often like him as the big tall Dom and he'll gladly play the role, but he very much also enjoys being a sub. You're in for a night of fun and having all your desires fulfilled.

ROMANTICALLY:

So used to putting up a show and reflecting other's expectations, he's adaptable to a fault. Drowning out his own preferences for the sake of making others happy, if you're trying to pursue a relationship with Cain, you might find he's more likely to fit to your wishes than his own. He'll tend to all your wants and your desires. But giving him the space to be himself is a battle he doesn't know how to fight, and you'll have to do it for him.

Crenic Namalen

Former wandering healer, Crenic refuses to take payment for his services beyond lodgings and a meal. Taking up the trade after spending 15 years as a Garlean prisoner, and deciding that someone had to help counter so much pain in the world. Kind, gentle, welcoming, the Viera still cannot forgive the empire for what they did to him, and is just as well versed with a gunblade when the need to protect others calls.

Rune Nightfall

A specialist in Voidsent, the young black mage boasts of unusually large inner reserves of Aether for his spells. While often called to help deal with voidkin problems, most keep any relationship with him strictly business, with the Keeper known for a tendency to talk to himself, alcoholism, and sarcasm. Mostly, Rune just wants to be left alone and get rid of the voidsent that secretly haunts him.

Rumare Sjadar

The Wraith of Skatay has been called "More sprite than man", and while a few have interacted with the herald of winter himself, he is know to stay isolated unless a matter requires his attention. There are only two people who can say they know him as anything more than the will of the mountains. Three, if one includes the kit that seems to be under his care.

Azha Eridani

Scout of the tribe and with a knowledge of their land rivaled only, perhaps, by their Nuhn, Azha knows his way from the labyrinthine caverns in the hills to the gryphon's nests, from oasis to orchards. While some would want to see the Nuhn dead, Azha is his greatest supporter and will always have his back. Even if the man himself wants to scruff the Keeper for his antics sometimes.

Cain Starlight

Recently arrived in Eorzea from Kugane, the alchemist is a friendly, warm, and open figure, selling anything from medicine to dyes and inks. And more. Certainly nothing illegal. Born blind, he requires medicine regularly to be able to see. And while he's open about missing his city and his mother, any suggestions of visiting are nervously waved off and the topic changed.

Do they like to sing? Are they good at it?

Crenic could be a good singer and enjoy it more if he didn't get so self-conscious about it. But while he enjoys and appreciates music, he himself is gets too timid to put himself out there enough to do more than hum under his breath.

Rune can certainly be brought to drunkenly sing along in a tavern, now how good he is at it is gonna depend on how many drinks he's had by that point.

As for Azha, I certainly imagine that he has a very nice singing voice if you can get him to sing, on top of playing the guitar. Both his parents did and it's one way he still feels connected to them.

Cain also can sing along while in a group that's excited enough, but he's not that much into singing by himself.

Neither Rumare nor Cedrik are singing people. Like mentor like ward. (Rumare can play the flute tho)

Ruuj probably also has a nice voice, and I imagine he's the kind that might hum or sing while taking care of his kids and playing with them.
