i love writing Vanquish so much.

Even though she's a bit silly and loud and arrogant and whatever, she can be and is really quite unsettling, being a warlock of Caiphon.

She's spent near on 400 years as their 'constellation' as they call her (with some intimate time with Y'chak) and there's a lot of her soul and body that has just been consumed permanently into an abberation now (hence the burns and when she goes Full Power Up Eldritch Horror Mode with Caiphon) and being around her too long if she, or Caiphon, doesn't like you, or pays too much attention to you etc, you can get strange headaches, dizziness, feeling of being watched, double vision, that feeling where you miss a step, where you're falling in a dream, where you can't swallow for a second.

Voss had the worst headache for many turns when he took her to the Astral Sea for the first time. Caiphon was curious about her adjustment to a different plane, probably permanently. And of the shifts in their connection and power.

And also maybe a little about Voss, since Caiphon could feel he was going to be how she would say goodbye.

been thinking lately about Caiphon appearing in the mortal realm to Vanquish, physically, and what form they'd take.

I know what form Y'chak takes obvs bc well that's a massive part of her story but what form Caiphon would take.....much thinking to do. Because I want them to appear to Vanquish at some point in her story.

I love thinking about them appearing as something that is comprehensible to Vanquish, and she can understand Caiphon no problem, but to anyone else they're....not quite perceptible in vision or in language. Her connection to them and strength of mind helps to conceptualise and form them for her on the mortal plane.

Whereas for others who don't have that connection to Caiphon, it's a struggle, even painful and confusing for them.
