as an early birthday gift to myself, I pre-ordered the pressure chief vinyl (it arrived yesterday!), and I just wanted to show off how pretty all the cake vinyls are.

So I grew up listening to a lot of CAKE, and CAKE does a LOT of covers which I didn't necessarily realize as a child were covers.

The "mahna mahna" song? Apparently belongs to the Muppets. "Perhaps, perhaps, perhaps"? Was very shocked to find out via mariachis at a local Mexican restaurant that it is originally called "Quizas, quizas, quizas". "Sad songs and waltzes" is apparently a country song. The revelations just don't stop.

Reminder that the girl with a short skirt and a long jacket is canonically named Karen... So show some respect
