Yesterday, I got to go to a wedding with my wife and some of our friends from kickball. Yes, I play adult kickball and it's awesome! I was asked by the bride and groom to make them a "cake-sword" for their special day. This was a first for me and I had a lot of fun making it. The handle needed to allow for both of their hands to hold it so it isn't based off of any historical artifact but it is loosely based off of early American cutlasses famous in the Charleston area for its piratical influence. It was a great wedding and I am so honored to have been a part of it.
