History Post! "The Pink House" is the 2nd oldest residence standing in Charleston. It's gone through a bevy of ownerships since the late 1600s until today, including a tavern, brothel, a law office, art gallery, and it's currently a private residence. (I didn't realize this when I took these photos--oops). It's original structure was built from 18" thick Coral stone, shipped from west India, which gave it a natural pink color (unlike Rainbow Row's Pastel). It's over 1,000 sq ft, has a courtyard and 1.5 bath, and 🏴‍☠️ Many witnesses said Blackbeard and his crew visited often (while it was a tavern/brothel).
