These adorable rose cake pop cookies combine the flavors of buttery cookies with the visual charm of blooming roses. A treat for both the eyes and the taste buds!
Ingredients: 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour. 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened. 1/2 cup granulated sugar. 1 large egg. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. 1/4 teaspoon salt. Red food coloring. Green candy melts or chocolate. Lollipop sticks.
Instructions: In a bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla extract to the mixture, and beat until well combined. Gradually add the flour and salt to the wet ingredients, mixing until a dough forms. Divide the dough into two portions. Add red food coloring to one portion and knead until the desired shade of pink is achieved. Wrap both portions of dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for about 30 minutes. Preheat the oven to the specified temperature on the package of candy melts or chocolate for melting. Roll small portions of the pink dough into rose petal shapes. Insert lollipop sticks into the base of each rose petal shape. Melt the green candy melts or chocolate according to the package instructions. Dip the base of each rose petal into the melted green candy melts to create the rose pop's base. Place the rose pops on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and chill in the fridge until set. While the rose pops are chilling, preheat the oven to the specified temperature for baking the cookies. Take the remaining portion of dough from the fridge and roll it into small balls. Place the dough balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake according to the specified time. Once the cookies are baked, let them cool completely on a wire rack. Once the rose pops and cookies are completely cooled, attach the rose pops to the tops of the cookies using the candy melt base. Allow the candy melt to set and harden before serving or packaging. Enjoy your delightful and artistic rose cake pop cookies!
