Amelia was glad she decided to join in on the fun that year, even if she had spent most of her time wandering around alone. She smiled as she watched a gaggle of kids in costumes run by, side stepping so they couldn’t run into her. As she did she knocked into someone, the area a little too busy. “Oh! Sorry I- Oh it’s you.” Amelia stepped back as she saw the familiar face. “I almost didn’t recognise you with your clothes on.” Realising what she said she did her best not to let her embarrassment at her own words show on her face. “I wouldn’t have taken this as your kind of scene.” @caleb-novak
Nature always called to her, perhaps that was why she chose this place to settle. The large open lake was a reminder of home and of Loch Ness. Despite the biting temperatures she was barefoot, dipping her toes into the water just a little. Her things were only a short distance away. Amelia had headed out there to try and grab some inspiration. While she had no intentions of heading home she missed the atmosphere of the highlands which was something so heavily featured in her writing.
Hearing someone approach she started a little, tripping further into the water than she would have liked. “Bugger...” She swore under her breath before lifting her head to see who it was. “Do you make a habit of startling people who are out on their own?” @caleb-novak

“You done trying to ruin my night, footloose? I don’t p...” She sighed the words refusing to come as her body rejected a lie not even spoken. “I want to be home before it’s too late. I’m already out longer than I’d like to be.”
Amelia moved to step around Caleb and walk off but as she did a sound caught her attention, one that wouldn’t be heard by human ears just yet. It was late, later than she was usually out. She was all too aware for every thing that went bump in the night there was a hunter tracking it down. “Hunters...” She whispered. Another snap of a twig nearby and she flinched, reaching out suddenly to grab Caleb’s arm as she move to hide behind him.
He might have been human but that was exactly why he had a better chance against any hunters.
She felt her glamour starting to fail as her fear took control of her body, knocking her focus. “Shit. Shit. Shit.” She whispered, trying to hide further into her clothes.

Meme Day | @caleb-novak
How she ended up yet again spitting retorts back and forth with Caleb she’d never know. The young man had gotten under her skin in the worst way possible. “Regardless, maybe next time try turning off the asshole setting when you leave the house.”
A snort of laughter came from behind her and Amelia turned to see who had laughed. “What?”
“Do you two always bring your domestics out into the public or is this some kind of foreplay for you?” The passer-by commented striking Amelia with a stab of horror.
“Excuse me?! I would- We are not- I wouldn’t dare. We’re not together.” She spat at him, her cheeks flushed from anger or embarrassment she’d never be able to tell. “I don’t date 80′s movie extras.”
