I don't know anything about Land, but the recent instances of people getting angry at Remender and Wood were both blown way out of proportion. Especially (if we're thinking of the same thing) with Wood. It's possible we should be focusing our attention on real examples of misogyny and homophobia in comics, instead of examples that MIGHT be given the right light.
When it comes to Land, people are just fed up with his lazy artwork that relies on tracing WWE Wrestlers and porn stars and sometimes other artists or cosplayers. Whether or not he intends to he's objectifying women with the porny art and female fans have a right to be annoyed every time his name shows up on a comic cover.
I'm not sure the Wood thing was blown out of proportion. He sexually harassed several women at cons. If there was one (which was originally reported) and he apologized (which he did do) it would be one thing, but after Tess Fowler came forward, several other women did too, which tells me this is regular behavior on his part.
I'm not sure what you mean, however, by "MIGHT be given the right light." He retconned Steve Rogers' dad into a drunken domestic abuser, which is bad enough but then had Steve IDENTIFY with him, which is...uh. Then he killed three high profile female characters within the same month (Sharon Carter, Rogue, and Scarlet Witch), which is again...uh...and one of them was due to be in a film only a few months later which is just...uh...and when people call him out with criticism, constructive or otherwise, he tells them to drown in hobo piss. And even Bendis had to issue a reply of sorts in All-New X-Men that basically shut down Remender's writing Havok's assimilationist attitude toward mutants.
But like I've said, none of these men are solely to blame, and I don't even square the blame on these three men's shoulders alone. It's an industry wide problem and I'm just glad Marvel's getting some of the blame now because it gives them a chance to fix it, along with DC, and the indies. Will they? I don't think so, not yet, but one can hope.
