I've been feeling pretty nostalgic lately, thinking about all the awesome times I've had playing in bands, so I decided to pull out my last band's CD and give it a listen. I haven't listened to it all the way through in well over a year. With a pair of fresh ears, I can honestly say that I can enjoy it again. The product we managed to create 3 1/2 years ago while recording in my basement and pretty much winging it the whole time is something to really be proud of. It's a testament to the awesome times we all had while recording it. Those years were some of my best, and it was such a better and easier time to be in a band. On the down side, we never got to fully capitalize on the momentum we had for a while, and things started to die down. We didn't have the time or money to devote a real tour to promoting it, which I really regret, because when we did get a chance to play out of town, we got a pretty good response. Regardless of that, I have few if any regrets, and I'm so glad I got to experience 4 years of my life playing with great bandmates and friends to boot.
TL;DR- I was feeling nostalgic, so I pulled out my old band's album, and I'm real proud of it in hindsight, blah blah blah.
