Hey! Hey! First: Good luck with your exams! \(^o^)/
Second: I'm using Google Translate to write this. I speak Spanish, so I apologize in advance if it doesn't make much sense qwp
Third: Not Tenma in Raimon AU? 0w0 I'm also interested in the Medic Tenma AU, but I'm more curious about the first one, haha. (I also have a feeling I can gather more information about the first one, but with the other I don't know what to ask besides "What medical branch does Tenma belong to?" I don't know enough about that world qwp)
I want to know everything! Is Tenma interested in soccer? Did he fail the tryout? Did he stay in Okinawa? Is he on a different team?! What does Takuto think about it?
HIII OMG THANK YOU SM AAAAAAAAA I really need that because our last exam is an oral exam/prototype defense and the paper's kinda confusing so I'm a bit cooked💔 (also it's currently 12 am from where I at--I'm a lil sleepy but the caffeine is keeping me awake haha- I'd like to apologize in advance if some parts don't make sense!!)
Secondly, it's alright, no worries at all!!!
Oohh omg this one is a lot, so lemme break it down!
*break dances*
Joke's aside—
Tenma Not in Raimon AU:
"Is Tenma interested in soccer? Did he fail the tryout? Did he stay in Okinawa? Is he on a different team?!"
Yes, Tenma is still very much interested in soccer! He didn't fail the tryout, or, more accurately, he never failed the tryout—because he was never enrolled in Raimon. :')
A reason for that is that he is home-schooled! So, yeah, he never joined any different teams either, oops- Although he mostly stays at the hospital because he tends to be... sickly. Emphasis on the mostly, because he still lives in Kogarashi Manor!
I'm still figuring out the specifics, but it unfortunately doesn't let him play soccer as much as he'd like. I guess he's similar to Taiyou, in a way!
The nurses do make sure to keep an eye on him in case something happens, because his illness can be unpredictable. However, Tenma is a good kid like that, so from time to time, the nurses or other staff don't really hover over him, haha— (although Tenma does have some rebellious streak lol)
Aside from being sickly, he does suffer from PTSD and slight memory loss :) originally, I was gonna make him have social anxiety, given the unfortunate circumstance in his childhood, but I scrapped it? The whole prompt started anyway because I was thinking, like, "Hey, what if Tenma doesn't go to Raimon, how will the series go?" and such.
And boom, this was born :D! He still interacts with the IEG casts though, talking to them while unknowingly helping them along the way🤭
Ah, almost forgot--no, Tenma is not in Okinawa, and there's actually a reason for that!
His parents, unfortunately, died. That scarred Tenma greatly...
"What does Takuto think about it?"
Oohh, this one is a bit tough. From the drafts, their first meeting was a little funny, actually; Takuto thought that Tenma was weird at first—mostly because Tenma literally jumped him, lol. Remember when I said that he had a bit of a rebellious streak? He snuck out of the hospital lmao-
Listen, he was fed up, okay? even the hospital's forest-thingy wasn't giving him the freedom he wanted😔
The reason why he jumped on Takuto was that a rabid dog was chasing him HAHAHAHAHA
Takuto, wondering who this kid clinging to his entire body was—legs and arms wrapped around him and all—didn’t have the time to question it because he heard the loud barking too, and they both ran for their lives😭 That was when Takuto was being bribed by the mother whose kid was in Eito, I believe?
Now, the reason Takuto thought Tenma was weird was that after they finally found a place to hide and the dog stopped chasing them, Tenma said, “That was fun. I want to do it again!”
Takuto: “Huh 😧⁉”
Then Tenma proceeded to look for the dog, and Takuto quickly stopped him💀 He wondered if this kid was right in the head, but haha, Tenma wasn’t—
Yeah, okay, Imma stop😔🔫
It was then revealed to him that Tenma had never really had the opportunity to run as he liked, and Takuto, while a little confused by what he meant, felt sympathy, because he too had never really had the opportunity to run as he liked—not in the same context as Tenma, but with Fifth Sector restricting everything, yk?
But well, a few meetings later, he still thinks Tenma is a lil weird. I mean, he does talk about soccer like it's a real person. But that's okay, Takuto doesn't mind!
Hmm, during the time Takuto was hospitalized, he did learn about Tenma's background...
Medic Tenma AU
Fun fact, this AU started because in Soar High (oh my god all roads lead back to it im gonna cry it's haunting me- /hj), Tenma is a medic as well! And he chases people with syringes lol That's an over-exaggeration, but not too far off...
Although in SH, it's a littleeee uh different.
Also, this AU was born because of my experiences! I wouldn't say it's a lot, I only participated in a few 'shifts', but mostly training from my Girl Scout days. Although I forgot most of them since I was too busy with acads, haha :')
Also, I hope I won't get cancelled or something in case there are some inaccuracies here. I'm still building up the system here (integrated with my own ideas), so there might be some plot holes or something. Please remember that this is all just for the sake of fiction; I'm not a medical professional😔
Anyways, let's staartt:
"What medical branch does Tenma belong to?"
I was going to say, "something general," but that's kind of vague... it's not a singular field—it's more like a mix, especially focused on emergency response and injury care during games, or other situations.
In this AU, Tenma and Aoi are part of a medical committee that’s technically affiliated with the school, but it operates more like a partnered organization because of how big sports (especially soccer) are. They don’t just handle soccer either—they cover multiple sports events.
The committee includes trained professionals (like athletic trainers and a supervising doctor), but also student members! Tenma and Aoi actually started as volunteers—they were trained in basic first aid, checking vital signs (pulse, breathing, blood pressure), injury assessment (like sprains, minor fractures, etc.), and emergency response protocols.
Over time, they became official members and received more advanced training, plus regular shifts during games and events! Don't worry about their education, they still attend classes lol
Since they're students, they're only limited to do shifts on events or games hosted by the school, not outside. Additionally, students wouldn’t be doing anything too invasive. They’d stabilize, assess, and call in the professionals if it’s serious.
Ah, in this AU, Tenma couldn't really... play soccer either? It's a bit complicated and something that kinda doesn't make sense lol. He does have a condition in this AU as well, and to say that he couldn't play soccer is contradicting, considering that there's some stress when it comes to being a medic.
But well, for the half-ass explanation, it's that since soccer uses hissatsu techniques and kenshin, that kind of makes the sport a little rougher, and eats up more stamina and energy.
Tenma has chronic anemia—not severe enough to hospitalize him constantly, but enough that intense physical activity like competitive soccer is off-limits. He manages it with treatment and monitoring (he carries snacks and other supplements), but overexertion can still make him dizzy or collapse.
He surprisingly made it this far though without any issues! I think that's mostly because, so far, they only handle occasional bruising and sprains, and other severe injuries (like a broken leg or arm) is rare :)
Aaanndd I think that's all? :0 Yeye I think so hehe
I hope you enjoy reading these answers!! Have a great daayy!!
