Calie”s costume for school today :)
What does Rachel think about Celeste joining her school's cheer squad? Was it also used as a bonding experience for Quinn and Celeste? Practicing routines and stuff?
Rachel is...not thrilled. As much as she loves playing with Quinn in her cheerleading uniform these days, she still has those not fond memories of how Quinn and the other cheerleaders treated her in high school. Even though she knows Celeste is nothing like Quinn was at her worst, she can’t fully shake the tiny little worry that the uniform and the other cheerleaders will somehow corrupt her precious baby girl. (She’d feel the same way if Calliope had wanted to join the squad.)
Quinn gets it--she might even have had the same worry briefly flit through her head--but she’s confident in the way they’ve raised Celeste and knows her daughter doesn’t prioritize popularity over people the way Quinn had done as a teen and trusts she won’t cave into peer pressure. So Quinn focuses on all the things she’d loved about cheerleading and definitely bonds with Celeste over the athleticism and the routines and the competitions and games. Quinn is a little, shall we say, out of peak shape, so she can’t actually keep up with Celeste on those routines, but she gives it her best attempt.
Rachel will need to break out her massage skills afterwards in order to work out all the aches and pains that her very adorable but stupid wife brought on herself with the erroneous belief that her body would still cooperate the way it had when she was seventeen.
