So I went through my face tag
And found the post from last year lamenting about turning 25.
Here’s the thing. I’m officially 26. I woke up on the morning of 26 and the world was instantly brighter. I am alive. I survived all that weird existential junk. Now that it’s over, I feel so silly for being so worked up over it last year. Also, there are no pictures of my wife on my blog??? But a shit ton of my previous boyfriend?? and that’s not okay. I’m not putting these under a cut. I am unapologetically in love with this woman.
She tickles me when I’m not giving a true smile
to make me laugh properly.
and we go on countless exciting adventures together. It was a busy week! She had a liver biopsy, I pulled a muscle while drumming, we did birthday celebrations, and checked out an omni theater! And did crafty things together that I cannot reveal because they are a surprise :D Damn good start to 26.
Thanks for spending it with me babe. ;)
What’s the sweetest night in you’ve ever spent with somebody?
Hmmm 🤔 sweetest night in, huh?
When my butch and I first started going out, I flew him out to my new city for a weekend visit. The first day, since he had been on a plane and in airports most of the day, we stayed in. Got bad Chinese food, drank some beers, watched a movie (can't remember which.) (All of this after we fucked, of course lol)
It was just nice to have a chill night with someone I was falling in love with 🥰

I’ve been feeling very much like I’m going to be murdered by my country in the last couple of days and it really makes me want to just abandon everything I have in the US and go somewhere else. Like, if I have to forsake my friends and family to live somewhere that won’t refuse to give me life saving surgery or protect my murderer then that’s what it takes.
*hugs*
The US healthcare system is horrifying, and if you need to go somewhere else to get the care you need, then you should. It’s a huge thing and probably not worth doing unless you are pretty sure that you’re going to have an issue that won’t be treated.
It’s probably worth remembering that it’s really unlikely that you’ll be murdered. Murder rates have been going down for decades. Murder cases are horrifying, but rare. The higher murder rates among marginalised groups are really upsetting and bad, but they’re generally not high enough to make being murdered a likely thing.
Trans/gay panic defences are a rare defence to use, for a rare event. Even if it is used, and works (which is pretty unlikely), it’d likely be, say, a manslaughter rather than murder conviction. The court isn’t just going to let someone off scot free.
