[06:01] TC: *Mituna's leaving was something he would not argue; while he was comforted by his presence when it was genuine, he would not dare so much as look at him like he wanted him to stay. He hadn't spoken, out of shame as well as the discomfort. Being alone in this place was strange, and so he eventually took to wandering the halls, telling himself every now and again that he wasn't looking for anyone in particular, for both there was both hope and dread for such thoughts. He had no trouble finding shadows where they were scarce.*
[06:12] UU: *Calliope had taken the time to set herself up comfortably in her room again after the time she had spent with Jane to simply gather her thoughts and straighten out her feelings, and she could say she was feeling much better now with her tablet pulled out and familiar lines filling her screen. She was drawing various doodles of her friends, and she was quite focused on it despite the wide-open door that she had left to actually invite visitors upon the thought that she was really secluding herself too much. She hadn't really noticed someone moving by the door, focused in her work as she was (and as quiet as he was), and she leaned in her chair to tilt her head and observe the drawing from a different angle as she filled things in.*
[06:47] TC: *He peered into open rooms as he skulked by, ducking into corners as people passed with little interest in confronting them. It wasn't until he glanced into a room that harbored a white-haired troll with familiar, swirling horns that he took pause, his regrets freezing, too, as he placed her identity with how he had shaped his own. This was the amended form of benevolence. Purpose. Importance. He partly stepped into the doorway, his hands remaining at his sides as he tilted one to gently rap his knuckles on the lower half of the door to catch her attention, allowing the algor of his disposition to numb his cheek as he smiled sweetly, though unevenly, in greeting.*
[06:51] UU: *She had begun coloring when the sound of tapping caught her attention, and she pulled back from the screen, hardly realizing how close she had been until this moment, but it took her eyes a moment to adjust to the darkness again to see who was in her doorway, and it almost startled her before she could make out that it was the same indigo troll she had spent time with at the carnival, and he had been sweet to her. She didn't know he was here as well.* oh, hello! *she slid her chair back, resting the tablet pen on her desk as she stood and folding her hands in front of her* do yoU want to come in?
[07:39] TC: *When she greeted him and stood, he lowered his head in a nod, stepping inside and carefully closing the door behind him. Without question, he lowered himself down one knee so that the bow he had leaned into was unmistakably born of devotion he hoped she would recognize. One of his hands was soon tucked to his chest, the other moving to touch his fingertips to his forehead, his lips, and then the ground; even if she didn't understand the signs exactly, it should be quite clear what he was saying. Looking up, he searched her face for approval, finding that he was very near desperate for it.*
[07:57] UU: *The shut of the door was an action she had expected, for privacy's sake, but the sudden lowering of his person was not at all. What was this? But she felt she knew, even if the motions weren't crystal clear -- this was some sort of fealty he was expressing, and she could feel lime rising in her cheeks at the mere idea that someone was treating her this way.* oh-- goodness, i... *he was looking at her now, and she wasn't sure how to feel, a little overwhelmed by the expression, but look on his face made it nigh impossible to reject him* that's... very, Um, kind of yoU.
[08:36] TC: *This was precisely why she was antipodal to her counterpart; she was humble, altruistic, and yet he felt a cold stab of almost fear that she wouldn't accept his adherence. He glanced around quickly as though a solution for clearer communication would arise from somewhere around the room, and upon spotting the drawing tablet, he pointed to it questioningly.* :o?
[08:42] UU: *She wasn't certain what he was pointing for, but it hit her all at once that in all her watching he was familiar enough for her to recall he was the mime, the one who did not speak, and he was asking now to communicate with her.* oh, jUst a second-- i'll jUst close this drawing oUt... *and she darted back to the computer to save her work* there. go ahead!
[06:47] TC: *Rising to his feet again, he waited for her to conceal her works, before nodding again respectfully and stepping over to pick up the tablet pen. He quickly made it so he would write in his color on the screen, scribbling a note to her,* BENEVOLENT GODDESS, REGARD MY PLEA WITH THE MERCY ONLY YOU COULD DIVULGE. TOO LONG WAS I A VASSAL OF THE WRONG LORD. TO SERVE YOU NOW WOULD BE THE MOST MIRACULOUS OF LIONIZATIONS, AND TO BE WORTHY OF SUCH WOULD BE MY DESIGN.
[04:55] UU: *She watched him as he moved, the smallest smile on her lips because, truly, she was eager to see what he had to say to her, but the moment she drank in his words, she could feel her cheeks coloring all over again, hands rising to her face in some effort to stave off the rush of overwhelming emotions. He had called her--* oh, oh goodness... *What was she to do? She wasn't at all used to being regarded this way, and hearing it now was something she wasn't sure she could condone, but--* yoU don't have to speak to me that way, i assUre yoU, i'm-- i'm nothing like that at all, i'm jUst a girl... *She was trying to meet his gaze, but it was so difficult, knowing someone genuinely felt this way about her.*
[05:13] TC: *He turned his head to gauge her reaction, not all that ready to feel so disheartened. She wasn't what he had always believed in, no, but nothing really was, and he turned his focus back to the tablet.* SURELY YOU HAVE BIDDING OF SORTS THAT NEEDS DONE? *It sounded awful, and she was denying his offers to do whatever she'd need--* IF MY ABSENCE IS WHAT YOU DESIRE, I WILL OFFER THAT, AS WELL.
[05:21] UU: *Oh heavens, no, she hadn't mean to upset or disappoint him, and she fumbled for words yet again, trying to find some way to compromise this situation.* well-- no, i don't want that, necessarily, i am jUst-- a bit overwhelmed, if yoU'll forgive me. *She managed a laugh, at least, though it was more out of nervous reaction than amusement.* i'm... sUre i coUld Use help with something, bUt, well, we all coUld, really, what with what's going on... *She glanced bitterly back to the tablet, suddenly chiding herself for retreating into petty comforts while such things were happening.* i've been a bit selfish as of the moment, thoUgh, i hate to admit. Um... bUt i feel as if i mUst have forgotten yoUr name. please, remind me?
[05:29] TC: *The fact that she actually wanted to know his name differed her from his previous alliance enough, and he leaned to write it out as she inquired, venturing to draw a small smiley face -- :o) -- beside it as though that might ease the overwhelming feeling he had thoughtlessly thrown upon her. He hadn't wanted that, not at all, as he was used to needing to go through certain trials to be heard and comprehended. Even if the methods of such were different, still.*
[05:51] UU: kUrloz? wonderfUl! *She nodded affirmatively, clapping both hands together in some manner of an approving gesture before peering around herself in thought.* have yoU been informed aboUt the latest goings-on regarding all that nasty god bUsiness? i sUppose we oUght to sit if i'm to share that story... *And so she dusted off her bed out of habit, elegantly taking a seat and turning her attention back to him.*
[05:55] TC: *Wonderful was good. He felt the corners of his mouth twitching upward in a smile, and it didn't matter to him that it ached anymore, though it probably looked ghastly. At her question, that smile flickered downward a little bit, and he turned to the tablet again, shifting to sit more comfortably if they were to have this exchange, since she had asked.* I AM MORE THAN AWARE OF THESE OCCURRENCES. IF YOU MEAN THE PSYCHOLOGICAL UPRISING, AND WHAT ALL WAS SUCH BEFORE.
[05:58] UU: oh, well... yes, there is definitely that. bUt i did happen to have a little rUn-in with one of said gods after a particUlarly, Um... UnfortUnate dreaming session of my own. *She proceeded to recap the events with John and Eridan, and her subsequent brief species change.* we're Up against a very odd enemy, that's for certain.
[06:08] TC: *As she went on about the events he happened to be in the dark about, his mouth tilted back into a straight line. He wrote back to her when she was through.* DOUBTLESSLY, IT SOUGHT YOUR DREAMS OUT AMONG THE OTHERS FOR A REASON. THOUGH DEFEATING IT LIKELY REQUIRES MORE REINFORCEMENTS THAN THAT WHICH ACCOMPANIED YOU TO FACE IT... SOMEHOW.
[06:12] UU: yes... UndoUbtedly. *She couldn't help but sigh, because the idea of fighting anything wasn't something she didn't relish. But she would do it, because the rest of her friends would probably be doing so, and there was no way she could simply let everyone else fight for her.* bUt i'm sUre we'll come Up with something as a groUp. for now-- ahh... do yoU have a place to sleep? i've noticed the hoUse seems to be getting more and more crowded.
[06:18] TC: *He pondered this question for a moment. Mituna would be with his matesprit, he felt, and he would say nothing to protest. He had not found Meulin, and he would not dare look for shelter with her. He didn't really need it, he would find some way, because they wouldn't be here long, so he settled for writing,* NO NEED TO GET A WORRY FOR THAT.
[06:19] UU: are yoU sUre? i've been hogging this room all to myself, i woUldn't mind sparing it for yoU if yoU need it.
[06:25] TC: I COULD NOT IMPOSE THAT UPON YOU, *He jotted down,* EVEN FOR A DAY. *Another smily face. Maybe that'd be reassuring! He's off his game. :o( *
[06:29] UU: well, i... *She wasn't sure how to express herself without being pushy, but she is genuinely concerned.* please let me know if yoU need it. we can find way to accommodate, sUrely.
[06:30] TC: *Instead of drawing one, he turns to face her again with the best genuine smile that he can muster.*
[06:39] UU: *She can't help smiling, too, though she's at a loss of words suddenly, standing because she figures he's probably going to leave and she out to see him out. It was the polite thing to do. Good golly, manners when actually when around people were still a little strange to get the hang of, but she was enjoying it, nonetheless.* i'll see yoU tomorrow, then, i hope?
[06:48] TC: *He nodded again, setting her tablet down on the desk as he arose. He would no longer burden her with his overbearing presence when he need not. Opening the door himself, he turned to her, and before he made a move to step outside, he carefully reached for her hand to bend and brush a chaste kiss across her knuckles. Out of respect, and thankfulness beyond the words he didn't speak for simply the briefest acceptance. Perhaps a bit of hope for betterment.*
[07:00] UU: *She was smiling, glad for the chat and flattered enough by his presence, but when he reached for her hand, she could not think to pull it away, figuring that would be rude, anyhow, even if she was uncertain. But when he raised to bestow a kiss, she could feel the temperature rising on her skin as lime pooled in her face, her free hand lifting to cover her mouth in utter bashfulness. It was so... personal, so tender, to someone like her, and she was rendered utterly speechless in the face of it, a million questions buzzing through her mind and all of them making it difficult for her to actually think.*
[07:20] TC: *He straightened up then and backed out into the hallway, raising a hand to wave to her as he turned to meander some more, and think on what he had done that he should regret, that he should be proud of, what he had lost, would never get back, and might never be rid of. Perhaps having some kind of purpose would deter him from destroying so much-- having a better one than the purpose he had let wear away at the things he treasured. He had all day to think.*
