OC Kiss Week 2017 Day 1: Good Morning Kiss
The sun peaks over the horizon at last, illuminating the beauty of the landscape. The dew drops shine like diamonds strewn across the green grass. The birds sing the songs that the day has composed for them, and the sun paints the day that the night has drawn for it.
Now we come into a comfy room, where we find soft snoring and tangled limbs. The bed sheets were thrown off sometime during the night, leaving Zaria and Callistus cuddling each other unconsciously for warmth. The daylight basks them in warm sunlight and Zaria is the first one to open her eyes. Her forehead touched Callistus’s, and his hair softly tickled her head. The tips of their noses almost touching, and his long eye lashes brushing against her cheek.
“He’s so close,” she thought to herself.
His hair was all tangled up, so she decided it’d be fun to mess it up even more. She ran her hand through his pale blonde hair, picking at each strand and gently twisting it.
“Stop messing up my hair...” Callistus mumbled and looked into her amber eyes.
She gasped when Callistus grabbed her wrists and snuggled into her more.
Zaria pouted, “But why,” she whined, “its so soft!”
Callistus wrapped his arms around her waist and rest his head in the nook of her neck. Zaria continued to run her hands through his hair, despite his protests. After a little while, Callistus gave up and let her mess up his hair, it was simply too much work to stop her; besides it felt nice and relaxing.
After a little while, Zaria had an idea and started poking Callistus in the side.
“What are you doing?” he looked at her curiously.
Zaria giggled and gave him a cheeky grin, “Just a little game.”
Callistus raised an eyebrow and nodded his head anyways, curious as to what his lover has come up with this early in the morning.
“I’ll give you a good morning kiss, but only if you can catch me!” Zaria giggled and jumped out of bed and sprinted out the door.
Not missing a beat, Callistus jumped out of bed and ran after her, “You’re not getting away from me, Zaria!”
Callistus skid to a stop at the hallway when he saw Zaria run into the living room. Gingerly, he crawled into the living room and abruptly stopped when he heard giggling coming from the couch. Carefully, Callistus crouched behind the sofa, planning his secret attack.
He looked over and found that Zaria was huddling under the blanket she took from their room. On a count of three, he said to himself...
He prepared to jump over the couch...
Wait for the perfect moment...
Callistus jumped over the couch and snuggled under the blanket with her. He climbed on top of her and smiled in triumph. He tickled her sides and ran his hands through her already messy hair.
“This is payback for when you ruined my hair this morning!” declared Callistus.
Zaria squealed and and tried to defend herself, but she lost to the giggles.
After resisting and fighting against Callistus, Zaria claimed defeat, “Okay! Okay! You win this one Cal!” she took deep breaths and continued giggling some more.
Callistus smirked and gently caressed her face, causing Zaria to pause and stare deeply into his eyes. She’s always loved his golden eyes, no matter how strange they looked to others. They were unique, unlike hers; at least that’s what she told herself.
Zaria smiled and her eyes shined with affection, “Callistus... I really love you.”
He smiled and gently brushed his lips against hers and mumbled against her lips, “I love you too.”
He moved away for a second to look into her eyes again. Their foreheads bumped and Callistus bent down to give her another kiss. He could feel her smile against his lips and he couldn’t help but smile himself.
Mornings like this were always his favorite.
