  “  Try  telling  that  too  my  roommate  ,  Zuke  .  Ever  since  he  caught  me  eating  his  leftovers  with  my  bare  hands  he’s  decreed  a  vow  of  silence  because  I  ‘ betrayed ’  him  .  Woi  la  ,  so  dramatic  .  ”  a  pause  ,  sudden  stars  in  her  eyes  .

   “  Wait  a  minute  !  I  know  you   !  ”  where  did  this  pen  and  paper  come  from  ?  “  Can  I  get  an  autograph  ?  ”

       like  most  people  ,  maria  had  a  sweet  tooth  of  her  own  that  she  allowed  herself  to  indulge  in  on  rare  occasions  .  though  ,  that  usually  only  made  itself  known  if  someone  had  the  misfortune  of  dragging  her  out  somewhere  under  the  misconception  that  she’d  buy  her  own  sweets  and  not  simply  steal  theirs  .    still  ,  for  yuuta’s  sake  she  tried  to  at  least  leave  him  the  majority  of  the  cake  ,  there  was  a  ( small )  childish  worry  that  if  he  didn’t  get  his  regular  intake  of  sweets  he’d  shrivel  up  like  a raisin  in  the  sun  . 

      that’s  not  to  say  that  she  still  didn’t  want  something  though  ,  and  the  strawberry  he  gave  her  would  satisfy  her  for  now  .  while  she  ate  her  expression  didn’t  necessarily  change  enough  to  give  much  notice  but  her  eyes  were  a  little  less  dull  in  the  sunlight  it  seemed  ,  her  body  a  little  less  tense  ,  fists  loose  and  unclenched  .  how  sumire  got  her  involved  with  this  cotton  candy  shaped  human  being  she’ll  never  know  .

            did  she  have  a  thing  of  matches  in  that  hand   ?   MAYBE.  but  that  doesn’t  mean  she  was  planning  on  committing  arson...  setting  someone  PANTS  on  fire  doesn’t  count  as  arson ,  right   ?   

         her  eyes  harshly  gaze  up  at  him ,  it  was  as  if  she  was  letting  him  know  that  if  he  didn’t  let  go  of  her  hand  soon ,  it’d  be  HIS  pants  set  ablaze  instead.

        ‘    you’re  cold,    yuuta  -  kun?      c’mere,    c’mere!    ’      there,    he  opens  his  arms  and  fully  envelops  her;    even  resting  his  chin  upon  a  mop  of  pink.      the  smile  seems satisfied,    lowly  humming  whilst  giving  a  gentle,   reassuring  squeeze.      even  the  cape  adds  a  layer  of  comfort.       ‘    ah!      better now?    ’
