Calqueen headcanons featuring Chronic Migraine Lightning McQueen because they're so stupid I need to explode them/affectionate

☆ Post Cars 3 I think Lightning would develop Chronic Migraines especially after his crash

★ Like when the adrenaline falls after the Florida 500 race and he officially becomes Cruz's crew chief for the rest of the season (until he feels ready to race again) they kinda just. hit (those 4 months in isolation didn't help)

☆ He'd start wearing those rose-tinted glasses (with the FL-41 lens) but only when he's alone or with Cal. Because he's so embarrassed to have them

★ Lightning would think about Doc and if he ever had them and would probably sit at his grave and talk to him about them

☆ If Doc were alive though he'd wear them around Doc too but even so

★ Anyway. Cal catches on and he starts to encourage Lightning to wear them more because his migraines get so bad during the on season that like when he's out on the field talking to Cruz suddenly a migraine attack will hit and he'll literally be almost faint

☆ One time he does actually faint and Cal has to step in while the medical team take him to the tent. Cal is so upset with Lightning and Cruz just can't focus

★ I think from that day on Lightning tries to take better care of himself and lets Cal care for him because like. Cal hates seeing Lightning hurt

☆ When he crashed it reminded Cal of his uncle and it's like his life flashed before his eyes

★ He doesn't want that to happen again. He doesn't want Lightning putting himself last ever again

☆ So yeah. He's always making sure Lightning has his glasses and anything else he might need and is always alert on when he might have a migraine attack

★ When he does and it's during a race he'll either fill in for Lightning as crew chief or he'll be on stand by if Lightning can manage

☆ Basically they lowkey become co-parents to Cruz

★ Or like. The uncool older brother (Lightning) and the cool husband/boyfriend of said older brother (Cal) to Cruz

- pulled Cal out for 7 mins in heaven.

-only ever lands on Cal in spin the bottle. (Others think they're cheating/rigging the game)

- inly realised he was Bisexual once Sally invited Cal to join them as a Poly couple. Everyone knew before he did.

-dyes the sides of his hair brown so his natural blonde give the "bleached blonde" look.

-(kinda suggestive? Talks about anatomy really) was born prematurely. His parents didn't want to deal with the medical issues and left him. Had to have surgeries to help with underdevelopment,the main one being that his doctors thought he was a girl originally. Further tests revealed he was indeed a boy., just not at first glance. Has no uterus and had undeveloped internal testies that were removed to avoid future issues. (He had to explain this somewhat quickly to Cal during 7 mins in heaven. And the again to Sally when they first slept together)

-loves pop songs and listens to the With Cal all the time. Strip and Doc now know all the words to espresso because of these two

-why is it when there's trouble...it's always you boys (looking at Mcqueen, Cal, Bobby and Brick.)

-was put into a foster home at some point but after comming to school with bruises obviously from his foster father, he was returned to the saftey of the orphanage, where he remained by his own choice.

-met Harv during his teen years and got into racing. He later in life realises Harv is the devil in disguise, and manipulated him into staying. One day Mcqueen approached Strip Weathers and Doc to finally tell someone about the Way Harv touches him when he tries to run and how he hits him if he argues. No one expected Strip to punch Harv later that day before Doc had security take him away.

-flinches if people move to fast around him, afraid of being hit. Over times this lessens more and more.
