I did not expect Caleb to flirt with Lucien and then destroy him with the power of interior decorating immediately afterwards.
Side note, pls go flirt with your other purple morally “meh” friend, Caleb. You know, the one who isn’t in a cult.

My shipper heart is divided between “GO MEET FREAKING ESSEK!!!” and “Okay, that line with Lucien was kind of hot...”. Caleb has a type for purple men.

“I’ve seen how you look at me,” Lucien said, his eyes glinting garnets in the shadow thrown from the campfire.
“And how is that?” Caleb asked, feeling pinned. His hands flexed involuntarily. He hoped, vainly, it could be passed off as a reaction to the cold night.
Lucien leaned closer. Even his scent was familiar, Caleb realized. Mollymauk had smelled like homemade herbal muscle balm, like strong tea, with an undertone of earth and spice. While Lucien bore no medicinal scent, the rest of the bouquet was still there, subtle and warm. It filtered through Caleb’s senses, creeping into his brain and wringing memories from it. Old wants, old longings.
“Oh, I think you know,” Lucien murmured, his lips curling around the words, his breath warm against Caleb’s ear. “And just so you’re aware… I wouldn’t be opposed.”
Caleb swallowed, tongue suddenly two sizes too big, and felt the world slip out from under him just a little more.

(aka the Eiselcross arc has been rifling through my fandom attic and bringing down all the Widomauk boxes and the angst that could ensue)
This is just shippy brain rot but what if Caleb and Lucien hate fucked in Lucien's bed in Caleb's tower and then they look up and see Molly's coat above them?? I just -
I don’t know whether I prefer the Widowmauk or the Lucieb version of this ship. Just, endless possibilities!!!! Lucien leading Caleb down the Nonagon path, offering him the power he so desperately desires. The temptation of bending reality to his will... I just think corruption arcs are so sexy. But also, Caleb shaking it off at the end, recognizing this is just a demon with his late friend’s face. Maybe killing him even, and Molly somehow being reborn just like the cards suggested. And Molly remembers everything Lucien did, feeling terribly guilty. Caleb could help him come to terms with his guilt, in the room of Caleb’s old house.
I’m just really sold on this ship.
