“We are on the air with Y/n Y/l/n, model and actress.” Camera’s were you on but you knew that none of the listeners could see you.
“Hi!” You smiled into the microphone. This was your first radio interview ever and it was the radio show that you grew up listening to. You could not be more happy to be on it.
“How’s it going? Still dating Calum Hood?” You laughed a little.
“Yes still dating Calum.”
“We saw that you were just announced to play a Disney Princess in the upcoming new live action.”
“I actually had to turn the roll down.” You frowned. The part would have been amazing but sometimes other things come up. You badly wished you could have taken it but now wasn’t the time.
Just as you finished talking, the phone rang.
“Hello.” The radio host picked up the phone.
“Hi. It’s Calum.” You smiled as soon as you heard his name.
“Hi, Cal!” You were so excited to be on the air with him. He was thousands of miles away on tour in Japan and you hadn’t been able to travel to see him. You had recently got an apartment together and although you were worked most hours of the day it was still lonely at night.
“How’s it going? Did you tell them yet?”
“Tell them what?” The host, TJ asked.
“I haven’t yet. I was waiting for you to call.” You smiled. “But, as everyone knows this is my home town and I wanted to announce it here first. The reason I had to turn down the roll as a Disney Princess is because I’m pregnant!” You smiled.
“That’s amazing! What are the details?” Everyone always wanted to know the details.
“Well, we’re due in December. We found out right before he left for tour so it’s been difficult doing this on my own but we’re making it work.” It was really hard going through the pregnancy without Calum but it was too much of a risk to be traveling while pregnant. “We never thought that I would be able to get pregnant so we’re very blessed.” Having PCOS was not easy and when you were diagnosed at 19 you were heartbroken that being pregnant might not be something that you would ever be able to experience.
“We’re thrilled. We’re not going to find out if it’s a boy or a girl though until the baby is born.” Calum confirmed. You secretly wanted to find out just so you could prepare but this is something that Calum wanted to find out at the birth and you didn’t want to ruin it.
“I love that you got to announce this at our radio show.”
“Me too! I grew up listening to you guys when I was struggling trying to find modeling jobs and I think it’s good to go back to your home. I’m glad everyone here got to hear it first.” Now that everyone knew of the pregnancy, you could finally enjoy it and stop wearing huge sweaters to hide your growing belly.
“Congratulations. We’re very excited for you both.” You were thankful that they didn’t ask about marriage because there had never been talk of getting married. Even since getting pregnant Calum hasn’t said anything about marriage and it sucked that your entire family has questioned when the wedding is.
