She always seems to run into this guy when she’s in the worst mood. For a minute there, she felt bad about it -- using him as a verbal punching bag and all. Though, his last sentence made her laugh. “I didn’t know you were funny!” ‘Your words hurt just as much as being shorter than someone’ -- whether intentional or not he dissed right back.
“Oh, c’mon. Don’t take it personally. Tall people trigger my fight reaction,” she says through her bits of laughter. “Okay, okay. I’m sorry. I wasn’t expecting you to take it so personally. Friends?” Alys holds her hand out for him to take.
