Event: JUNE 10th
Place 900 Marin at Midway in San Francisco Dogpatch
Join SF Candlestick for the unveiling of 14 large-scale murals created by a spirited group of Bayview artists and youths, including Camer1, Joseph Colmenares, Josuerojasart.com and Malik Seneferu, to celebrate Candlestick – its past and its future as a new destination for arts, retail, dining, leisure and living.
Each of these public works of art embodies the beauty, strength and soul of the surrounding neighborhoods. The murals will be on display during a daylong celebration featuring interactive installations by Imprint.City and ArtSpan. We will also be screening a video created by BAYCAT (Bayview Hunters Point Center for Arts & Technology), which documents the making of the murals.
Plus, music by Monophonics, complimentary beer, wine, refreshments and BBQ brought to you by local Bayview vendors Auntie April's Chicken-n-Waffles, Radio Africa & Kitchen, Native Sons BBQ and The Midway Culinary. Special thanks to NON PLUS ULTRA
Entrance to The Midway SF is on Michigan Street. There is parking available along Marin, Michigan and Cesar Chavez; however, we encourage public transportation. The Midway SF is located on the T Line, 2 blocks from the Third and Marin Street stop.
