Athena had tried so hard to try and motivate herself to go to the carnival. It was meant to be something wonderful after all. But when the day of it finally came, she simply couldn’t convince herself to go. The thought of that many people being out there, not knowing what they wanted or what they were thinking... she couldn’t handle it.
Instead she had walked down to the bay, finding a quiet spot away from everyone else. Bailey seemed happy enough, padding around looking for the interesting smells. She hadn’t even really realised where she had come to, muscle memory taking over. She had come down here a lot growing up, a way to escape all of it. Strange now, those problems now seemed like nothing.
Hearing footsteps the dog went back to her side, far too protective, but she was grateful for it. Even more so when she saw who it was. Not that she was scared of him, not in the same way. “Sorry... I didn’t think anyone would be here” and she should go, though she wasn’t so sure that running was such a good idea. @cameronrey
