spills and thrills ;

Gideon Prewett was always one for a good crowd, and (save some unpleasantness earlier in the night where his temper made a rare appearance and his Big Mouth a common and expected one) the evening seemed to be going swimmingly. Nary a hiccup appeared and, despite good reasons he had in mind to trust little by way of government-sponsored parties, everything was running smoothly.

Until he nearly upended someone young, solid and blond - but that could be blamed on a slippery club floor and Gideon’s usual deficiency of coordination anywhere other than the dueling sphere. 

“Very sorry,” he said, even as his drink was still spilling onto the other (younger?) boy’s attire. Gideon wasn’t usually one to carry a handkerchief, but the 20′s theme had called for something of the sort, nestled discreetly into the front pocket of his vest. 

He pulled it out with a flourish and handed it over urgently; it was already being offered by the time he remembered that, a) it was borrowed from his babysitting adventures with The Nephews and, b) it was covered in a childish pattern of young ducks and bright stars. 

“Stylistically it’s, erm––” Gideon said, hoping his impish smile did something to ease the interaction. “Not quite my taste, but. Absorbency-wise, I’m sure it can still get the job done.”
