More Heartland Pagan Festival Memories
Back in the day, it was my habit to roll up on camp before dawn in order to be at the front of the line to get in on Thursday morning. In 2009 I succeeded in being the second person there.
This is my old canvas tent from the 1960s. It was big enough to fit two or three queen size matresses and for my 6'3" ass to walk end to end without ducking. It's still that big, but I need to replace the poles and repair the zipper on the front door before we can use it again.
My partner and I and several of our friends doing our hair and getting our faces painted. This was the original configuration of us plus Camp Taco, some of the first friends I ever made out at camp. Aradia and I had just met at the beginning of that year, and were using Beltane and Heartland as trial runs for moving in together that July.
The first photo I ever got of the Saturday night bonfire.
Aradia and I plus Camp Taco, getting in one last photo before we broke camp and headed home.
