Yes indeed, I have risen from my grave to say that I’m using this October to revive my edgy, and in my opinion poorly written, Camp Camp AU: Dimensions AU. The characters will not only get a full-on reworking/rewrite, but also a aesthetically pleasing new design that fit their new characters. And maybe if it turns out well, maybe I’ll turn it into an original story? Until then, here's day one of what I'll name Revivaltober with the return of Dimensions!Max. Max had a bit of a personality rewrite, since I realized when looking back on this AU that I was 100% not well researched and equipped to with the type of character that past me wanted to write. Honestly I’m happy with his newer personality as it feels more natural and fits with new aesthetics I changed for Dimensions as a whole. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- BIO: Name: Maxwell Jones Age: 12 Camp of Interest: Sewing/Art Camp Max is widely known for a multitude of reasons, with the most noteworthy being his more childish attitude and often spouting strange stories of supposed "other worlds" that exist alongside this current world. His behavior is believed to have been cause by an incident that happened when he was very young when an accidental death lead him to "see the face of God". Luckily, he has managed to subdue these delusions through various activities including making various animal dolls that have kept him company ever since his first creation, a teddy bear named Mr. Honeynuts, as well as being good friends with one of the newer campers, Neil. He's a good kid, but maybe just don't look him in the eyes

I decided to combined the Neil and Nikki prompts not just out of laziness, but it fits since they were introduced together. but mostly out of laziness but still. I kept their backstories virtually the same with some minor tweaking because I don’t know why young me tried to make Nikki look like she secretly had rainbow powers or something like that.

BIO: Name: Neil Patrickson Age: 15 Camp of Interest: Science Camp Unofficial Official Camp Doctor Being unintentionally getting employed as a member of Staff due to an incident with the part-time Camp Nurse, Neil often views himself as the most mature and the smartest of them all, and prideful of his work, to the point of being arrogant and and a menace to the other campers. As the new Camp Doctor, he can go a bit overboard on “Surgeries”, and preserves body parts for personal research. He's most often seen around Max, dubbing him his Nurse/assistant and getting acquainted with his new "coworkers", taking notes on their health and mental stability, whether it's him doing his job or for personal reasons is uncertain, but he believes he knows best. We should trust him, he's a "Doctor" after all   Name: Nicole Cafiero Age: 12 Camp of Interest: Summer Camp Before switching to Camp Campbell, Nikki stayed with the Flower Scouts that, unbeknownst to most of the world, seemed to get roped into cult activity at a young age. Thankfully, she ended up running away, thanks to Erin after a freak accident(which is the reason for her patch) opening her eyes to the reality of her situation, but it left a lot of emotional scars in the aftermath. Because of this, she has a hard time trusting people and opening up to new people. She does get scared by the sight of blood though, that should be kept in mind.

So one of the things I wanted to work on for my art is, in a sense, diversifying on drawing characters particularly POC characters. Luckily, Second Chances gives me the needed opportunity to try drawing tight curly hair, and see how I can incorporate it into my art style. So, remember that Revivaltober thing I tried to do for my Camp Camp AU that was quickly snuffed out by the unfortunate RT drama that unexpectedly happened in the same first week of October when I started that challenge ? Well I’m turning it into an original story now. Which is funny, considering that I originally wanted to keep this a fan AU project, but then the universe had to screw up those plans as usual. It’s going to be reworked and renamed under the new name Second Chances, and unlike my other projects this on will mostly be a writing project with some visual animatics of narration. Revivaltober and the fate of DimensionsAU

So, you're all probably thinking about the whole Revivaltober thing that I planned to revive my dead Camp Camp AU. Well, I sort of canceled it.

And if you're wondering if it's because of the recent Rooster Teeth drama that just happened a couple of days ago, yes, yes it is because of it.

While I've personally stuck to the animation/fan content when it comes to RT/AH, this newest drama around the company was kinda the final straw for me in terms of wanting to support them. Not to mention that I've mostly lost interest in Camp Camp in general, mainly due to A) me mostly focusing on more original content and B) the lack of Camp Camp content from RT. (I know they've announced another season but honestly I gave up keeping up with the series towards the end of Season three.)

Plus, the rewriting I have done with the story has very little to do with Camp Camp as a whole. Pretty much, the only thing that ties the AU into Camp Camp are the character names and setting. Even their personalities are vastly different to their canon counterparts.

So the question here is: What's going to happened to DimensionsAU as a whole?

Well I'm actually currently in the process of turning it into a original story under the new name "Second Chances". The characters will be getting a slight visual and role upgrade to differentiate from their Camp Camp counterparts, and to fit their new roles/personalities and the story as a whole. With the setting having a more Lovecraftian inspired aesthetic (inspired by the music of Hozier and Mother Mother(mostly from the Sticks album)) The town names and places will also get some name changes, including the name of the summer camps.

At most this project will mostly be in the background, as I work on the more of the forefront projects that you'll get to see more this month, especially Seven Deadly Circus Gang, as I've been developing them behind the scenes into more competent and complete stories and finalizing their designs and aesthetics. Also, keep an eye out for something special I'm making for Halloween(if I keep my promise and don't get sidetracked again).

Honestly, a part of me wants to fully return back into my DimensionsAU because of the recent episodes and resurgence of a lot of things that inspired the overarching story as a whole.
