I don't talk about the Olympics or my home town a lot but I'm gonna be rightfully smug about this

Camperdown Wildlife Centre, Dundee
I had to run an errand in Dundee and I was looking for something we could do in the area that would make the trip worthwhile. I found Camperdown Wildlife Centre, which I had previously not known about, and we decided to visit it. It was still Winter time and it was cold and windy. The bear was still semi-hibernating and a lot of the animals did not perk up until after noon. Regardless, I was happy to see the wolves and different species of wild cats. Two other favourites were the meerkats and the snow owls. I love watching animals and observing their interaction among themselves if they are part of a group. At the same time I feel conflicted any time I go to watch animals in captivity. On one hand, we can preserve endangered species, who are loosing their habitat. On the other hand, they are confined to a limited area and simply cannot get the space and variety of life experience they would get in the wild. With that said, you can tell that Camperdown Wildlife Park is trying to provide as much space and care for the animals as they can.
A vlog with the whole experience is on Youtube.
