Hey! I really REALLY love all the David hc's and they are making me into camp for even longer then I thought I would be (been here for four years)! I was really hoping I could get some headcannons of David x S/O (any gender) who just likes sitting on his lap and hugging him while resting theyr head on his chest and/or shoulder? Nothing nsfw just cuddly when they are alone but most of the time stern and stoic with others? (The personality doesn't really need to be included!)

heya, glad you've liked them. :3 i'm gonna be honest, i haven't written anything for this fandom in about a year or more at this point [i'm not really sure] n i haven't entirely been into it for a while. that being said, i've been wanting to try to write more lately, so this is a pretty good excuse to.

David x Stoic Reader who Enjoys Sitting on His Lap

so, it's not super often that David has a chance to really sit down, he spends most of his time standing and running around

the only time he really gets to relax is when the campers are all [supposedly] asleep and in their tents for the night. even then he has a habit of taking walks due to his insomnia.

that being said, if you were to grab him in the right moment, he'd be happy to sit with you.

if you'd like he could play with your hair and stuff, especially if it's something that helps you relax after a rough day.

i will say he was initially a bit flustered by the idea, it wasn't something he'd expected you to enjoy and it was definitely something pretty intimate. that's not to say he took issue with it, of course, he was quite happy with it.

often ends up talking to you while you sit together, though that's to be expected. but if you'd prefer it to be quiet, he'd definitely oblige.

i feel like it's something that'd get him to relax enough to fall asleep at times, especially as you get further into your relationship. probably ends up apologizing a good number of times for it the first time it happens before you stop him.

i think it'd become a nice nightly routine. he still has his walks, taking you along if you'd like, but i think it'd be something he'd like to do before bed.

we all know this man is touch starved as all hell, he's GONNA make time for affection. [when he's able to]

jokes aside, the two of you probably have a few things in common to have gotten that close.

it's likely that you don't have the best home life, so it was sort of refreshing to have someone actually care for you.

it probably took a while for you to open up to him at all, but he'd be patient about it. after all, most of his campers tend to be like that.

he'd probably treat you about the same way he treats Max, to be honest.

though he'd still swear up and down that he has no favorites.

he'll always get really sad when the summer is over and you have to go home though. but he's always been sad about that.

Like reader is a new counceler at camp so how would the other two be with them?

David is immediately super happy to meet you and tries to become friends immediately.

Gwen on the other hand is more guarded about it but happy to have the help.

i think they'd both try to help you out in their own ways, showing you what to do and how to do it or making sure the kids aren't too harsh with you. . .yet.

if you play your cards right, Gwen will probably warm up to you reasonably quickly. especially if you have the right things in common.

it's possible that you'd be closer to one or the other but I also think it's just as likely that you'd be able to be close to both of them.

honest to god they're both so happy to have some help that doesn't turn out to be another cultist or something.

when you all have time, you probably end up watching Bob Ross together or something. Just make sure to actually pay attention to the kids when you do.

by the time summer's over, you'll probably have their phone numbers and stuff so you're able to keep in contact.

David probably makes a group chat or something at some point by the way.

Flirty Daniel/David x reader?

first of all, i believe these two would have very different kinds of flirting.

David would tend to be more sincere and cautious about it, complimenting your personality or something along those lines.

Daniel on the other hand would be more...shallow at first. Not because he wants this to be some sort of uh... one-and-done sort of situation, but because he doesn't expect it to go anywhere.

imagine his surprise when it turns out he was wrong!

over time his flirting would become more genuine and sort of traditional.

i feel like David would eventually get more confident with his flirting, though he'd always remain just a little cautious.

i don't think either of them would ever be too uh..inappropriate with their flirting? especially Daniel.

just look at him. of course it wouldn't go there.

i think they'd both be pretty clean with it unless you said something to take it further.

Can you do HCs for david with a S/O that isnt very good at expressing feelings verbally, so instead they give a lot of gifts? Usually small gifts. Or anything they find really that they thing he would like

David x Reader Who Doesn't Express Things Verbally

David doesn't mind that it's hard for you to express things with words.

Your struggle with it is well understood and it's not something he pushes for.

In fact, he also struggles to express himself verbally at times. Words hard.

He appreciates every gift you give him though, it means the world to him.

He tends to either proudly display your gifts or use them as much as possible.

If they ever break he'll do his best to fix it, though he might get a bit emotional about it.

If you ever give him clothes or anything of that sort he'll wear them whenever he can.

I think he'd go out of his way to give you gifts as well. Not just because you give them to him, he's just like that.

It doesn't matter to him that it's mainly smaller things, by the way. He'd be happy with a pretty rock or a pinecone.
