A tasty and filling snack that's ideal for outdoor events or camping excursions are campfire nachos. These nachos are a hit at the campfire because they are piled high with cheese, meat, and all of your favorite toppings.
Ingredients: 1 bag of tortilla chips. 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese. 1 cup cooked ground beef or shredded chicken. 1/2 cup diced tomatoes. 1/2 cup diced onions. 1/4 cup sliced jalapeos. 1/4 cup sliced black olives. 1/4 cup sour cream. 1/4 cup guacamole. 1/4 cup salsa. 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro.
Instructions: Build a campfire and allow it to burn until the coals are hot. Over the coals, place aluminum foil or a cast-iron skillet on a grate. Divide the tortilla chips in half and arrange them in a skillet or on foil. Over the chips, distribute half of the shredded cheese, black olives, jalapeos, diced tomatoes, diced onions, and ground beef or chicken. Continue by adding the remaining toppings and another layer of chips. Once the cheese has melted and the nachos are thoroughly heated, cover the skillet with a lid or aluminum foil and cook over the campfire for ten to fifteen minutes. Making use of oven mitts or a campfire tool, carefully remove the skillet from the fire. Droops of sour cream, guacamole, salsa, and chopped cilantro look great on top of the campfire nachos. Enjoy while hot!
