I'm a horrible, horrible person.

First, I have Petar goad Jun into going into the mountains, and then Gerard offers to go with him. (Realization: Gerard is going to die.)

Second, I explain that Jun's mother died giving birth to him, he very nearly died, he's not very sturdy and has trouble breathing sometimes, and Gerard was with him during his first bad breathing attack. (Realization: Gerard is super protective of Jun because he feels responsible.)

Third, the family inn is going to be inherited by Gerard, as the eldest. (Realization: When Gerard dies, it'll go to the next oldest, aka Petar, the one who goaded Jun, and therefore Gerard, into going into the mountains. Petar will therefore feel responsible for his oldest brother's death and his youngest brother's disappearance, and the inn will just be a constant reminder to him of everything he did to destroy his family.)

What is wrong with me? I feel so bad for these poor boys. My babies. I'm so sorry. *sobs*

I started outlining my CampNo for June, which I'm going to try to accomplish in just eight days (as I start work at an actual camp after that). It's actually really good so far. :) I mean, not particularly spectacular, but pretty good.

It's all about a girl who finds out she's got magical heritage and is summoned to the magic academy for training. The Academy (I can't ever talk about Academies again without thinking of the French art Academie, thank you ART 223) only takes students that they deem good enough to train, so while the MC is beginning her training, a group of discontented rebels start to vandalize the school and threaten teachers and supports and go so far as to even physically attack them. All this because they feel slighted by the Academy which has unfairly denied them equal treatment.

The MC of course becomes friends with one of the rebels who has been admitted (or infiltrated, whatever you want to call it) the Academy, but one night she catches sight of him vandalizing in the name of the rebels. Many things happen, but the upshot is that MC joins the rebels but feels conflicted because she'll have to betray her teacher (whom she likes very much, like a grandfather or uncle or something, and who is fond of her as well). More stuff happens (namely, MC unwittingly planting a dangerous spell on her teacher) and MC becomes a double agent for her teacher.

(This is as far as I've outlined.)

Somehow, I need to make it so that the Academy gets reforms to allow in more students. This is hard because 1) the rebels are all for just getting rid of the Academy altogether at this point (through violence if necessary), 2) T would very much like to work with the rebels to reform the school, but he's a pacifist who disapproves of their unrestrained violence, and 3) MC needs to go through some sort of life changing dealio. Like, act as a sort of mediator between T and the rebels and possibly the school. I don't know if the other instructors are going to actively pursue the rebels with violent magic or if the king will send out soldiers to quell the rebels (unlikely) or if the rebels will attack the Academy or what. But a lot needs to happen and I don't know which way it'll go. I'm at the point where I usually get stuck.

(I love tangling my threads, but there comes a time when they're all so tangled that I throw them away from me in frustration and pretend I don't have to untangle them all somehow.)
