Director Series: Camp PALS Columbus
This week, we're kicking off our Director Series! Check back each week to learn about a new Camp PALS Director Team. First up, Camp PALS Columbus:
"HI EVERYONE!! My name is Ricky (left) I have done PALS for 7 years and this is my first year directing a camp, and I cannot WAIT!! PALS has really changed my life, it has shown me how to be a more caring person, to really open up and not be afraid of who you are. PALS has shown me what it is really like to live life and I wouldn’t trade it for the world. I am so excited now to share these experiences with our campers and counselors in Ohio this summer. I cannot wait to get to OSU and decorate the dorms for the most awesome camper arrival and to kick off this PALS summer.
Hi PALS family! I’m Courtney Lynch (center) and this is also my 7th year attending a PALS program. Last year, I served PALS as the Director of Adventures and I am thrilled to work with Ricky and Kevin as one of the 2015 Directors of PALS Columbus! If I could describe the feeling I get when I am at camp, I would call it complete and utter bliss. When I’m surrounded by the most loving and accepting people in the world, I cannot help but feel free. I am so thankful for this opportunity and cannot wait to get down to some karaoke and tear up the dance floor at our end of the week dance!! Lets take Ohio State by storm - go Buckeyes!!
Hi everyone! I’m Kevin Crane (right). Words cannot express how excited I am that Camp PALS is heading to Columbus! I was born and raised in the Columbus area and I know that this is such a great location to have our camp. Each day I am counting down till June 7th because after two years of being involved with PALS, I’ve come to realize it is the most enjoyable week of the year for me. It is a time I can be myself and not feel any pressure to act a certain way. To me, camp is a place that allows individuals to come together and both share and express who they are. Getting to know all the unique campers and counselors is my favorite part and that is why I am enthused that you all are now a part of the family!"
