"What does my future hold?"

This week I saw my tenure as the Sports Editor of the award winning Campus Echo student newspaper at North Carolina Central University come to a end. As I look back on it I can say that my journalism skills have grown tremendously these last two years with the help of my advisor and colleagues. I know my writing is not a polished product yet but before coming to the Echo it was poor, to say the least.  I always had the love for sports, but at the Echo I learned how to put that love into words at a prestigious publication. 

I know that the Campus Echo has prepared me for my next endeavor, whatever that may be. I don't know what the future holds for me but I will never forget where my career started, the Campus Echo.

I disagree with rules that discourage student-athletes from making money, whether it’s from having a legal hustle, working long hours or accepting gifts from other people.
