warnings: dubious consent on some pain infliction
AN:I got another tattoo the other day, so take a crazy guess where this idea came from. lowkey got carried away with it but that's fine, hope you all like :P
EJ always knew he had liked pain, but he’d never told anyone this obviously, not the break your bones kind of pain though. The type of pain you want to feel again and again just to feel something else. It wasn't even that he was depressed or anything of that nature, he'd just always been this way. Silently craving a pain that teetered on just too much for him to handle, he wasn’t even sure where this craving had started for him.
When EJ learned about tattoos, he needed to know everything he could about the felling, his curiosity reached an all-time high. He knew the tattoo would have to be in a coverable spot if he got one; he truly didn't want to bother with having to cover it before his concerts. He was so used to the pain he would endure during his practices; he'd even gotten used to the intense training Fuma would send his way when they practiced together. He wanted something new and something a little more than the occasional bruise left on him; he wanted a tattoo.
EJ held out for about a month before the curiosity became too much and he was stepping inside a local tattoo shop. The bell above him ringing out to signal his arrival to the employees. He looked around a moment as he waited for someone to help him, large prints pasted all over the wall, exposed brick everywhere, heavy cologne lingered in the air, and all of it making EJ feel very out of place.
Heavy footsteps came closer from a dark hallway off to his left, a tall figure emerging slouched with his hands tucked firmly in his pockets. EJ felt his face blush a bit as he came further into view, face still covered a bit by his dark messy bangs, but the man's handsome features shown through, nonetheless. A silver glint through the bangs caught EJ’s eye, the man had an eyebrow piercing he felt like he could faint.
The man's gaze narrowed as he eyed EJ up and down, "Are you lost?"
He wanted to look down to see what the man had landed on to elicit that response but decided that would only encourage the presumption made.
"This is a tattoo shop, is it not?" He held his tongue back from what he really wanted to say, he did still want a tattoo after all.
A small smirk and a wave of his large hand was his only answer to that. EJ followed him over to an empty station that was minimally decorated, a few posters of artwork, a shelf with a certificate, and a large stickered binder being the only personable items inside.
"You can go ahead and sit on the table if you'd like." A small gesture was made with his hand showing where he wanted him, "What's your name?"
"Eui-joo or EJ, what's yours?" He replied simply as he took a seat
"Nicholas, you can call me Nico if you want." Nico, it fits him. "What kind of tattoo were you thinking about?"
"Uh.. I hadn't thought about the design really. I just want a tattoo."
Nico’s lips quirked at his statement eyeing him before turning and grabbing the stickered binder EJ had noticed earlier.
"This is my flash sheet binder; you can pick out anything you like inside." Another silver glint, inside his mouth this time, a tongue piercing.
EJ gave a smile of thanks as his face burned brighter than ever in his life before accepting the binder and flipping through. He mulled through a few pages his hands shaking under the man’s watchful eye, some designs catching his eye but not really calling out to him until he reached a very simple one. A deer, black and white and mostly realistic style with some of his own touch thrown on it, it suited EJ perfectly.
“Can I do this one?” EJ pointed at the design, looking up at the tall, gloomy man standing in front of him.
“Mhm, where do you want it?”
“Anywhere coverable is fine with me.” Another smirk from Nico as he leaned in.
“I think,” he paused a moment as his hand hovered close to EJ’s stomach eyes flicking up to look at him, “something here would suit you nicely.”
He finishes his statement by placing his hand gently on EJoo’s side dipping dangerously low across his v-line. EJ feels his breathing stutter a moment before he pulls away, Nico’s grin growing wider when EJoo silently nods in response. He wasn’t sure he could trust himself to properly answer Nico when he was looking at him like that.
“I’ll get some different sizes printed out for the stencil then, sit tight and sign this consent form while you wait.” A short pat to EJ’s knee with a pass of a clipboard and pen, and he was gone the same cologne EJ smelled when he walked in being the only thing lingering.
EJ filled out the form quickly before he groaned and pushed the heels of his palms into his eyes, he couldn’t even understand how he had gotten this far with this pain thing, why he was sitting on this table, and why on earth the hottest guy he’d ever seen seemed to be hitting on him. This was probably this first time he was considering backing out of something that he planned on giving him pain, but at the same time the thrill that was running through his veins at this moment was something unexperienced for him. He didn’t want to let that rush die quite yet, besides he would probably just be back in a different tattoo shop the next month ready to try again if he didn’t now.
“Okay I have three options to start with, but I can print more if you don’t like any.” EJoo pulled his hands away to look again and saw him standing waiting for something. “Your shirt.”
“Oh! Right, of course yeah cause how else would you tattoo?” An awkward chuckle came from EJ, but the sound was nothing like him, he wanted to crawl in a hole the moment he said it.
His ears burned hot as he turned away his face closing his eyes in embarrassment for a second before turning back and tugging his shirt up for him to hold the papers against. They debated between the mid and largest size he printed out before landing on the bigger of them, Nico saying it helped the design flow better with EJ agreeing mostly for the idea of staying longer.
“Stand up for me, so I can place the stencil.” The way he didn’t ask but commanded would normally turn EJ away, but from this man it sent shivers down his spine his body responding before his words, standing immediately.
More shivers run down his spine at Nico’s touch pressing on his stomach smearing a gel over the area they talked about earlier before lining the art up and pressing firmly lingering a moment longer than necessary. EJ couldn’t help but feel a little disappointed when the touch disappeared as he pulled the stencil off, a purple outline of the deer being the only thing left.
“Go check it in the mirror and make sure you like it.”
A small nod before he hopped off the table to walk to the floor length mirror a little behind him, he couldn’t help but notice Nico trailing behind him as he went over to look. It was only then when he stood in front of the mirror admiring how the tattoo was going to look on him did he notice just how empty the tattoo shop was, Nico stood a few steps behind him watching him silently through the mirror, but besides them it was quiet. The silence only making him adding to his nerves, he couldn’t stop staring at the artist with his baggy pants and tons of different chains and trinkets adorning them, the tight white tee stretching over his chest that left little to the imagination, the way his hair drooped down into his dark eyes, the man just had an air about him that drew EJ in.
Nico’s eyes caught his in the mirror causing EJ’s to dart back down to look at the stencil before softly commenting, “I like it.”
“Alright, I’ll get the inks ready. You wanted black and white, right?”
“Yeah, I liked how it was in the book.”
“Okay, go ahead and lay down on the table then while you wait.”
The room fell quiet again, this time a more comfortable one as EJ laid down making sure to keep his shirt up as not to forget and embarrass himself again. He watched Nico’s back as he worked next to him, he wondered how long he had been doing tattoos, if he liked his job, how many tattoos he had of his own, if there were more hidden piercings. He shook his head to free the last thought, but it stayed prominent on his mind.
“Funny that you picked this design, you know?”
No, EJ did not know but he did want to.
He continued on, “I based the flash off one of my first tattoos I ever did on myself, no one’s ever picked it though until now.”
He raised his own shirt as he turned to look back at EJ, there on the opposite side he picked for EJ’s tattoo sat a large deer tattoo almost identical to the one in the book. The only difference being Nico’s had large antlers sprouting tall from the deer’s head, he wanted to reach out to touch it, but he held himself back.
“Mine’s a buck, the one you picked is a doe. Guess we’ll be kind of matching.” He dropped his shirt back as he continued on mixing inks like nothing happened.
EJ wanted nothing more than to rip that page from his binder to ensure that no one else ever picked it after him. He tried to steady his breathing as Nico was finally ready, sitting in the chair next to him, applying fresh gloves, and picking up the thrumming machine that was starting to terrify EJ.
“You ready?” A short nod from EJ was all he could manage, “I’ll start with a small line so you can get a feel for it, okay? Just tell me if it’s too much.”
Just tell me if it’s too much. He couldn’t help but think of that tiny sentence in a much different context. Another nod of confirmation and the small machine buzzed to life, a slight sting with a burning sensation was as close as EJ could describe the feeling of the needle entering his skin.
Nico’s eyes flashed up to meet his, staring at him through his long lashes, “Feel okay?”
“Yeah, it feels good.” His face burned a little at the slip, he meant to just say it felt fine.
If he noticed the slip, Nico said nothing of it immediately starting his work, his soft touch dancing over his skin. He tried his best to stay still, he really did, but the longer the machine worked on EJ’s tender skin, the more Nico pulled at his skin to keep him still the more thrill he felt. He wanted the tattoo to just be done, but the feeling to never stop all at the same time and it threw his head for an entirely new loop he did not expect. Any pain EJoo thought he had experienced up to this point was nothing compared to the sweet sting of this experience.
“I’m almost there Juju, try to stay still a little longer.”
EJ was unsure if Nico even meant to call him Juju, but the way he said so lowly with such confidence immediately sent heat through his body. He couldn’t hold back the small moan that slipped out in return, his hand coming up to cover his mouth quickly. The vibrations from the tattoo machine cut off quickly, silence filling the room once more, EJ’s heart pounded as he feared the worst. He had disgusted him, he had to of, who would be into someone like this?
“You like it when I call you Juju?” EJ risked a peek at Nico’s face after finally hearing him speak again.
He almost wished he hadn’t, the heavy gaze staring back at him making him want to shrink into himself.
“Yes.” EJ even surprised himself with how rough his voice had gotten, sounding more strained than he had ever heard.
Nico’s eyes stayed firmly on his face watching his reactions, “You like it when I do this too?”
A gasp fell from his lips as Nico’s gloved thumb pressed firmly on the work just done on EJ’s stomach, nodding rapidly before he could even process that he was doing it his mind racing. What was happening?
A sly smile made its way onto Nico’s face as he kept talking, “I’ll have to keep that in mind.”
The machine started again as Nico continued working on finishing the tattoo, his eyes now being more watchful of EJ, his hands pressing harder when holding him. By the time Nico was finished shading the tattoo, EJ was a breathless mess that was nowhere close to looking like the polite innocent guy who had entered the shop. He watched Nico as he carefully applied the saniderm bandage over the freshly finished tattoo, leaning in close as he smoothed the air bubbles out from under it.
His eyes shooting up quickly to watch EJ’s reaction as he flicked his tongue out to languidly lick over the length of the tattoo. The cool metal of his piercing cooling his skin through the bandage and digging in ever so slightly, as he went EJ squirmed under his touch hissing when he reached the extra sensitive spots on his skin. This man was everything he had ever wanted, someone that understood exactly what he wanted and how much of it he needed.
EJ would never admit aloud, except maybe to one person, but in the days after getting it EJ took every advantage of his still healing tattoo. Pressing his hands over the bandage the way Nico did, savoring the pain he had given him for as long as he could, never wanting the memory to fade. He would definitely be getting more tattoos from Nico in the future.
Nico would also never admit aloud, except to EJ, but he did in fact rip out the flash sheet after EJ left.
Imagine Bullying a 15-Year-Old for Not Meeting Your Parasocial Expectations I am honestly a very calm and chill person, but stuff like this makes my blood boil. I genuinely cannot wrap my head around the K-pop community anymore. So, HYBE announces their new girl group, TUIDE, debuting on August 24th. Seven talented girls, including Jihyo’s younger sister, preparing for one of the biggest moments of their lives. And what is the immediate reaction from chronically online "fans" of other groups? Pre-debut appearance attacks. People are literally sitting behind their keyboards typing things like "Well, I hope they can sing because visuals are definitely not their strong suit." Are you for real? But the absolute rock bottom of this whole situation? They are specifically targeting Yi-han, who is FIFTEEN YEARS OLD. A literal child. The brainrot in this fandom space has reached catastrophic levels. People have become so detached from reality that they think it’s completely acceptable to tear down a minor's physical appearance just to defend their own "faves" in some imaginary fanwar. Get off Twitter. Touch some grass. Seek help. If your immediate response to a 15-year-old kid pursuing her dream is to judge her face on the internet, you aren't a "K-pop critic" —you are just a miserable, bitter person who desperately needs to log off. Leave these girls alone and let them debut in peace
