Do you have a favorite kind of hummingbird?

I like broad-billed hummingbirds

I tend to like purple hummingbirds.

I had a really magical and romantic day with Hideo a few years ago in Monte Verde, Costa Rica, where we sat on a patio of the National Park visitor's center and watched one species after another whirr and whiz past us. Our favorite was this huge Violet Sabrewing.

The largest hummingbird of North/Central America, growing to a max. body length of up to 15 cm (5.9 in)
