can't maintain, but it's miku
and thats a huge bummer
The father came From across the sea To rescue, rescue To rescue me
He said "If you spend all your heart On something that has died, You are not alive And that can't be your life"
Love what you can Love what you can 'til it dies Then let it lie, Let it fly Away
And I just handed you a giant load of gibberish And I give love to a lover quite deserving of it And I give thanks to all of you for listening To the story of how we all learned how to survive
w-why? what's going to happen?
Can’t Maintain, Andrew Jackson Jihad (2009)
AJJ’s Can’t Maintain indeed, couldn’t. Bonnette can make as many bonnet jokes as he likes but here it feels like AJJ rehashed quite a few of the same chord progressions, instrumental arrangements and even lyrical tropes of People. A lot of Can’t Maintain was still anxious and pacey with stellar songwriting and interesting lyricism, but overall it’s far less freaky and shameful and, ultimately, too spookily similar to People to be as much of an AJJ highlight even though it’s certainly enjoyable.
