Okay, but, does anyone else also think of why does Undertaker ask for ‘laughter’ as payment from our!Ciel? And does he ask for other people to make him laugh too or is it just him? I can see him getting along very well with Vincent, they’d sit somewhere dark and just make morbid jokes together, lol.

Maybe it’s because he’s so depressed, he’s seen so much, he’s had so many people die (not just Vincent and Claudia, mind you), he just... needs someone to make him laugh. He doesn’t need money, he needs happiness.

He is a shinigami, after all. People are like ‘x is just a child, y doesn’t deserve it’. But Undertaker (and Grelle, and Will, and the other reapers) are already dead. Like, they even died once. They even killed themselves. Do you ever think about that?
