If the US made its flag to represent capitalism in a similar way the Soviets made theirs represents Communism, How Canada's would look like:

If I were alive during Canada's flag competition, I would have designed this
from /r/vexillology Top comment: Don't worry, I do love the actual flag of Canada, but I just wanted to see what I would have come up with. This flag was inspired by the flag of Montréal. The main layout of the flag includes St. George's cross for England and the white and blue cross for Royal France (c.f. flag of Quebec), the two main colonising powers. The four maple leaves represent the ancestries of the people - one for the British Isles, one for France, one for the First Nations and one for all other origins. The red-white-blue colour scheme is found in both the Union Jack and the current flag of France. The white and blue colour scheme was found in the flags of Royal France. Red represents bravery, blue represents the sea, white represents the snow and gold represents opportunity.
The Franco-ténois flag (flag for the French of Canada's NWT)

Opinion: Canada's flag looks just as good in any other color.

A Flag for Canada's Arctic
from /r/vexillology Top comment: Inspired completely by u/NeoAmbitions' "[Iceberg Flag](https://www.reddit.com/r/vexillology/comments/fpq0tg/iceberg_flag_for_either_greenland_or_iceland/)". Brilliant design! The central portion of Neo's (may I call you Neo?) iceberg reminded me of a leaf and I ran from there. I made my iceberg symmetrical above and below the "waterline" to avoid modifying the leaf because I wanted it to be the focus, not the berg. !wave
