I did originally buy a DVD drive to put in it, but it was an external drive that required being plugged into two USB ports at once and I used it like once. or maybe a few times. anyway something died that was probably the cord but I never got around to getting another one and I already had a laptop with a DVD drive that I rarely used even before that laptop shut off when playing DVDs unless the fans on the bottom were 100% clear so I ultimately concluded I didn't need to replace it and got rid of it, a conclusion that remained correct when I bought a PS4 and watched two DVDs with it and never used it again

I have an unhealthy amount of DVDs from my childhood with some of them being less than legal rips and potentially lost media of movies ive never heard of. And possibly family photos.

Im sure I would rarely use my DVD drive if i had one and my case does not have dedicated space for it (though i could probably open a panel in the back to add one) so im not missing out on much. I think my dad has a ps3 and i know for sure he has an xbox one.

Jean-Paul Valley is Azrael! I don’t know if he’s in the comics currently, the last run of Azrael was I think a reboot using a different guy entirely whose name I forget.

Apparently he's made an appearance in Batman: Urban Legends (2021) but I hadn't read that one. Im gonna add that to my reading list!

Ive been a bit behind, the last Batman comic I read was a rather old one. The Dark Knight Returns (1986) and it is a wonderful look into comic history and the turn in Batman tonally. Also, I own the Arkham games on Steam but Ive been putting off playing them for no real reason. I should do that as well.

(#17) How do you determine what mood each project has?

I'm not sure if this is something that I consciously decide. I think I just 'feel' it.

(#18) how do what you look for in your own writing vs someone else’s coincide? how does your writing influence your reading? Ooh tough one. When I'm looking at my own writing, I look hard for issues with flow & pacing. Mostly flow. When I'm reading, I look a lot at how information is distributed & woven into the story. I also like to look for things that are just really nice to read. Like pretty sentences or especially evocative moments. Sometimes I have to turn off my writer brain though because it can be distracting when I'm reading something for the first time. I like to look at things a second time more critically though.

(#21) What are the most important facets of creating a character, to you? For me, it's probably motivations. Sometimes I figure out motivations first and then can backtrack to develop the character around that. Sometimes it's the other way around, and I start creating a character and then with that information, realize what drives them forward. Without motivation I don't have a good sense of who a character is or how they might act. (Questions are from this Writing Ask Meme)

Yeah I just literally don’t know tropes or fandom specific tags and I don’t like to be like ‘angst’ unless the whole thing is straight up angst or whatever. One fic the only additional tag I have on it is obsessive compulsive disorder and I’m pretty sure I have some old portal stuff with no tags

Same! I agree, if I'm barely using something it feels weird to tag for it. I don't want people to get disappointed if I tag for, say, fluff but there's just a couple pages of it in a very long fic. It gets really confusing. It's too easy to overthink and either put too many tags or not enough. :S

10. what do you wish you hated, but actually like?

I wish I hated making edgy animal OCs and imagining AMVs in my head but I have so much fun doing it haha. It’s pretty much ingrained into my brain at this point because I’ve done it since I was a little kid.

15. do you prefer space or the ocean?

AAAAAH THIS IS SO HARD, I’m obsessed with both but I think if I had to choose I would say the ocean. It’s less theoretical and there’s just so much fucked up shit down there. On top of that, I love thinking about the chemistry of the ocean and how the pressure impacts things. It’s why I have a passion for marine biology I guess!
